The 3x, 7x, 42.5x are not ZOOM ANYTHING. They are seperate prime lens cameras of different focal lengths. Zoom off to where you came from.

DJI has a history of pushing out products before they are ready to be released, they did this with both the Mavic 3 and the Inspire 3. They should continue to fine tune it until November 2025 which would be consistent with the mavic 3 release in November of 2021

DJI also took a huge hit, both in sales, profits and reputation, more from the horrendous launch and persistent issues of Mavic 3, than from Inspire 3, which isn't a consumer drone. First the new wide angle glass domed on the OA Sensors were subject to lens flare, and were too sensitive, causing the done to rise to max altitude from low sun flaring the lens next, the GPS Satellite acquisition issues were particularly bad and persisted for months. Since those debacle, releases og Mini 3 Pro/4 Pro, and Air 3/3Shave shipped fully functional, getting additional features afterwards via FW Updates.

@ Yes for that reason I would always turn off obstacle avoidance otherwise the drone would rise in altitude on its own. A lot of the firmware updates helped for the mavic 3 but they took too long to release. The mavic 3 pro was like an experiment and the gimbal on that drone is very unreliable, no firmware can fix that. The inspire 3 still lacks ProRes4444 and basic camera features til this day! The rolling shutter is quite awful and the lack of continuous autofocus is extremely irritating when trying to track a subject. They have improved a lot from previous models but they are still pushing out these drones before they are ready and it’s a damn shame they seem to be on the verge of doing this again with the mavic 4

I think 2.5X and 6X is a good reach, I think 7 was too much because the quality was far below standard, it did improve on the mavic 3 pro compared to the OG mavic 3 but still wasn't great. I wonder if they could have offered optical 2x by cropping like a lot of smartphones offer now like iPhone, then kept a 3X as a second lens and 6X. I also noticed that this video is likely with the non Cine version, did you see the storage on it? almost 11 hours of capacity at 4K30fps, thats around 500gb which lines up with the 512gb on board storage claim. Also is it me or is that screen bigger? RC Pro 2 perhaps or testing controller?

Its going to need an RC Pro 2. RC Pro is tapped out at O3+ which makes it obsolete.

@@BlairAir I never mentioned RC Pro, I said RC Pro 2 or testing controller, I also have the RC Pro so am aware it has 03+

@@mdagx Time will tell, it is an ugly f*cker, but I will be buying as long as it performs better then the Mavic 3 Pro, which I really enjoyed for the most part.

Why? I mean its super handy to have both options, especially given how much content is now shot in portrait for use on social media apps, if you dont use it then fine, but its a very desirable function to have, and if the Mavic 4 has open gate video capability the options for editing are really big.

@@jasonlee4267 It's totally irrelevant and a gimmick. All of the devices on which anyone would consume vertical video content, can't meaningfully output the full resolution offered by the drone cameras. So you can just crop the regular video, and get a better framing, at that.

But Vertical Photos is what I want, so for me it’s a game changer. If the price is right I will buy it. If not, I get the air 3s
