I would not do that since the software can not be adjusted for that. FC and ESC still will think the original motors are on the Mavic.

Have you tried spraying it with wd-40 or blowing compressed air to it?

aldrin jude Dagmang Yes, it cleaned up some but not 100%. That is why I decided to replace the engine.

@@MattShonan you can get rid of the sand just keep cleaning. Use diesel in a bucket . Motor in you hand and with shaking movement submerged in the diesel wash it out. It will be out in few minutes. Sometimes rotate the motor and keep up with the flushing. 10min all as new. Clean with alcohol... Done

ok . get some electrical spray cleaner.. get the motor ready to start up and geta compressor handy with around 150 psi coming through a jet that is needle size.. now start motor with aire going through at 25 psi and then spray in some electrical cleaner. then with motor running slow add some more cleaner then straigh taway blast with 150 psi from compressor, this would shift it if its sand.

In some cases this can work! Just if at the beach sand and in this case some iron partials are involved it might requite an engine replacement. Thanks for the comment and have great day!

I just had my maiden flight on the beach and I crashed my Mav mini into granite rocks then it landed in the sand lol, no cracks on the body or arms, props ok but two motors stopped and sounded like yours I took it home took props off and used my car tyre compressor and blew it inside the mother every angle whilst turning the motor the grinding noise went and it span around freely, once turned on they span around so props back on, no problems, sometimes sands damp and sticks inside either pressure blow it out if u can't let the sand dry then blow & blow inside whilst turning before taking apart, Im a total novice lol I think I was lucky, I was gutted at the time it bounced off one boulder onto another but I think my leg extensions you connect from the front Arm to the back arm so it's like a sledge & I had a gimble guard on protected the body ✌🏼

Great you could recover that way without a major surgery! Yes, it can work! I think in my case there were iron or other metal things mixed in the sad and in this case it is really game over. When looking at my other FPV quads, I had another sad case recently and how I recovered form this will be up here sometime in the next weeks or so. I use there a different method since the motors are more expensive and no metals were in the sad which got in the motors. Happy flying! 🤙🏻

Nabeel Ahmed I bought mine on ebay. however, I also could not find only the engine and had to get the arm assembly. The price would not change by much. Amazon also has replacement parts available, you can try it there as well. Thank you for watching and the support, have great day!!

Yes, I have a video on this coming up next week. You can try to first wash the motor down with clean hand warm water. After that, give it an alcoholic bath to push the water out. Then dry it out for some days and hopefully you will be fine.

Just remove the C clip and you can have access to the rotor containing the magnets easily...... I've done this many times

That is correct! I soldered the new cables and the the once form the old motor together. To avoid taking the Mavic are apart and not solider directly to the mainboard of the Mavic. Reason, this drone is tiny and I tried to keep soldering heat away from sensitive electronics like the IMU.

Correct, they do, same as ND filters. If you like to stay below 250g you can not use any accessories like that.

@@martin90000 you can try to make up for the more weight by using carbon fiber propellers. The other option you have is using the Japanese batteries. In Japan the Mavic Mini has 199g. DJI is doing that by just downsizing the batteries. Using those batteries you can shave off 50g. However, your flight time will be impacted by that.
