Up to 15-25 mph winds in sport mode no prob! The visual got a lil fuzzy and skipped once but was for a split second and came right back on! Great drone for first timers (IMO)..but if you normally end up buying aftermarket parts for other things you might out grow this drone really wuick

Based partly on your enjoyable & informative videos I've bought the "Fly More" combo & I'm very pleased with it. One thing I do know is that when wind blows around any object such as a building (or even a person for that matter), when it "meets up again" on the other side of it there will be a bit of natural turbulence as it coalesces & a small zone where the wind speed will actually fluctuate wildly & even increase. So when you walk around any drone in such high winds (presenting us with a sweet view of the drone trying to cope), keep this phenomena in mind because the drone may suddenly lurch forward directly at you when you're upwind creating this spot of artificial turbulence & while seeing you have to dance about (& perhaps even perform a quick dirt dive) might be entertaining, I've certainly no desire to see you (or your drone) injured in any way. Thanks again for your Mavic Mini videos.

First, I want to say thank you for doing the test, with your drone, to help prepare the rest of us, as to what the drone can do in this environment. So helpful. But, I'm sure there are many others who watched this video, and you made a few comments as to whether the video would look ok, well as I'm watching this video, I was in awe, as to how well that 3 axis gimbel held such an incredible steady shot, that was amazing. The camera systems on dji, especially a $400.00 dollar drone, held up, under intense winds. Thank you for your time, and sharing such great information for the rest of us.

I'm a storm chaser and plan on using this drone to take some storm photography. I am amazed that this little 249g drone can handle itself in winds 20-30mph! I was in the Big Bend area of Texas (basically middle of nowhere) this past weekend and the wind was a steady 20ish mph. I made the mistake of flying downwind and my mini didn't have enough power to fly back home against the wind. I put the drone in sport mode and even with full stick it was drifting further and further away. I had to think fast... I dropped altitude until I could get some lateral movement and was able to fly it close to the one and only road for miles and land. I hopped on my motorcycle and found the drone over two miles away. So yeah... there is definitely a point where the mini will become a kite and will fly away.

Hi Dustin, just ordered my new Mini combo, probably 1 week away. Loved watching your series on the mini. Feel better prepared for the unveiling. I live in Perth West Australia and in Oz it's wind speed in kilometres per hour, and distances also in kilometres so your range test approximately 6 miles, is 9,656 kilometres. just mentioning this as your videos go all over the world. @098Chris5 жыл бұрын
yeah the cam and flight time is sooooooooooo good, and the portability is huge for me. I hope they update the app to bring some of the features over. I don't care about the sensors really, and they don't have any *real* bearing on some of the follow features, but I bet DJI will keep it somewhat crippled.
