It is best drone for beginners and budding filmmakers... This is my opinion about this. But the main draw back is of its ground clearance, it is very very less and it is very difficult to land directly on different grounds without a helipad.

Awesome video Mike and nice to meet you... I'm Miro from Pernik - Bulgaria (I've been cocky and rude with my comments on your other videos for which I apologies publicly because you are an awesome KZbinr from which tons of people can learn and I'm personally a big fan of you)... In 1 hour from now I should be receiving my FCC Version of my Mavic Mini... I ordered it from Banggood... Will update you on range in urban areas here in Pernik and I'll try it out also in Sofia too but fingers crossed that the remote controller will not update its firmware from FCC to CE firmware once location is retrieved... Personally I fly my Mavic Air in FCC mode for longer range and I do get 3.5 - 3.9KM range even in urban area especially I fly it at 120-150 meters altitude so I kind of expecting same from the Mini... Now for the none English speaking viewers here I will ask you something in Bulgarian here: Човек моля те кажи как ти е пълното име че гадая само какво може да значи Майк (Михаил, Михаел...?)

Drone Supremacy Ok I got the Mini now it was opened and sequrity seal stricken broken...(Banggood are doing so with all of the DJI products they are selling (quality assurance purposes I assume)... I received Fimi a3 and X8 SE previously with sequrity stickers untouched as Banggood was the first official reseller of those Fimi products) But I see all the other stickers on the Mini itself and the remote controller (it is really MT1SS5 FCC controller) have all the stickers on and it is a brand new device obviously... Will update you on coverage and mode in a few days from now...

Ravi kanth Kachibhotla hey brother I find when landing the mini especially in potentially nasty terrain, it is so much easier to land in your hand. Just have the mini hover over your hand long enough we’re the sensors recognize and hold the down toggle until it gently lands in your palm. I pretty much launch and land it by hand 90% of the time now.

I bought the mini a few days ago. I want to say this. Video quality is great. If you are buying a drone for going out far distances this is NOT the drone to get. I do have a lot of trees around the places that I fly and I know they cause interference with the signal. When im in the wide open with nothing between me and the drone Ive been getting close to 3/4 of a mile in distance and thats going about 350-400ft in altitude. Overall im really happy with it and the price range. Get you some filters, range extenders to improve quality of your service even in short range scenarios, and get something to keep your props together while your drone is packed away. If you love to fly all day you might want to get a few 12v car chargers

Pro's: all spot on, i went to the philippines with it and it was soooo small and easy to carry Con's:my major ones are wifi density in towns sometimes stops you from flying because it's just a pain to get disconnected every 20 seconds in my city, no problems at all while on the field. The other problem is obviously wind so you have to be careful when and where to fly due to gusts. All in all i love it!

@@DougChristensen I mean, it has altitude hold, GPS, horizon lock, etc. you just push the stick in whatever direction you go. Only situation I could possibly see as a reasonable explanation for somebody actually crashing one of these is by flying backwards with your nose in the screen without scouting the location or having a spotter. But also, drones like this are incredibly easy to fly line of sight so even that shouldn't really happen. If the mavic mini came with obstacle avoidance, the first thing I'd do is turn it off. Most DJI pilots believe they're pretty good but don't have any experience flying something that actually requires skill to fly. I understand how someone inexperienced would want obstacle avoidance, but I'd imagine it would just be an absolute nightmare to anybody with even a slight amount of skill. Damian may have pointed out in a rude way that the OP wasn't experienced with drones, and it may have been an unnecessary thing to say in the context of a youtube comment, but that doesn't make him wrong. And, DJI pilots who believe they are better than they are do cause some pretty serious safety issues. Even the FAA talks about the harm this mentality has in their 107 study material. And if you look at the OP's KZbin channel, you'll see him crash a mavic air in a very amateur fashion. Slow, sluggish, jerky movements, followed by flying directly up without scouting the path, looking where he's going with the camera, and almost certainly not looking where he's going line of sight. About 15 near misses with branches which should've warned him to stop and get out but he kept pushing it until he crashed. That was posted only 6 days ago. I don't say this to be harsh or rude, but DJI pilots believing they're good when they actually are very inexperienced pilots is definitely a safety concern and probably the only real safety concern the FAA has to regulate our hobby as they're trying to. It's important to point that out to pilots who overemphasize their abilities so that we can all be safer and have more freedom as pilots. Again, Damian didn't have to be rude about it, but there is definitely merit to what he's saying if you look past that.

I recently purchased the Mavic Mini and love it so far! Sometimes I’ll have issues with the GPS but maybe it’s where I fly?
@pavelp804 жыл бұрын
I have only minor issue. When not flying for few days, it takes maybe minute to find enough satellites. And when you are close to building with half of the sky obscured, it never has enough satellites. But unlike phone which sometimes uses wifi to localize itself in urban area and which is happy when it knows location with 20 meters accuracy, drone needs much better signal, because it sometimes have to rely only on GPS and barometer to keep it's position.

I have the Mavic Mini, and I love it! Easy to fly, really stable, and the 2.7k video is pretty good for most things. I recently took my Mini from the UK to Poland on vacation with no problems at all. I also did some pre saved automated flight plans using the free version of Drone Harmony. Basically, I pre planned some flights while still at home in the UK, uploaded them to the Cloud, then once I was in Poland I loaded the pre saved flight plan onto my phone, and the drone flew them 100% perfectly. I was really impressed that is was so easy to set up and fly, you just press "launch" and you can then leave the drone to fly the route under full automation.

I agree with you. But one hint from own recent experience, these parabolic antenna reflectors are just placebos and can make range even more worse compared to the naked original antennas. I tested just few days ago, both with 2.4 and 5.8ghz and could not feel any difference at the range limit in rural environment. But I have experienced the automatic channel selection is not the best choice very often. You should take a look onto the channel activity map while the Mavic is hovering at least at 10m altitude. Often you will detect overrange WIFIs there. In such cases I will land immediately and select a free channel manually before taking off for the intended flight.

There are many times I've been somewhere thinking "Man I'd love to get a shot of that with my drone!" Now I can! The mini goes everywhere with me! WARNING: Be really, really mindful of wind conditions. This drone is not particularly powerful and extremely light. Get an app like UAV Forecast that gives you a wind profile at altitude. I almost lost my mini yesterday. Wind was calm at ground level but gusting at 25mph at 100ft (I forgot to check the wind profile), next thing my Mini was flying away without me touching the controller! For you owners out there. How does this handle winds? I live by the coast and 5 - 20 MPH constant wind is the normal here. I won't fly in Gusts. Recommendations?

Hi. Just wondered you mentioned a program you have that you layer over the footage from the mavic mini and said there was a link to in the comments but I can’t see it? Any chance you can post it? Thanks :)

Great video mate. I have ordered the mini already but watching this video....I have definitely made the right choice. Can’t wait to be able to finally be able to fly it myself.

Have you seen the added benefits of using the LitChi App with the DJI Mini? It brings all the benefits of the higher prices DJI Drones.

Drone is amazing. So Small and goes anywhere. Worth every penny!

Coming from a Phantom 2, the lack of intelligent flight modes or obstacle avoidance is not an issue. The portability, flight time, and built in camera of the Mini are all big plus points for me, and it gives me everything I need in a drone that was purchased to go traelling with. p.s. Not a fan of the grading you do on your footage - I think it adds way too much green to the overall look.

Hi, First of all great video like every time. I bought my first drone the Spark thanks to you... than the Osmo pocket and finally my Mavic Air ... But now i have a question, i want to buy my new one, i was thinking to buy the Mavic Air 2 this coming Black Friday but i saw the new Mavic mini 2 coming out and it looks quite complete. What do you recommend:-) ?

I would advise you to wait 1-2 weeks until we have more info on the Mavic Mini2, then make your decision :) Although you really can't go wrong with the Air2! It's all up to you and your budget & needs.

Upto what FPS a DJI mavic mini drone can shoot?? 30fps or 60fps or 120fps ??

I just don’t understand why with a drone this small and under 250g DJI would incorporate No Fly Zone Geo fencing.

I was on the fence about this drone, but that video was killer! I really like the potential you showed. The images and footage was interesting, sharp, and I like your color profile. Well done sir!

0:45 mini heart attack, especially since the mini doesn't have active avoidance to the same degree as the air or the pro

Hello wanted to ask, 1. If Mavic Mini pass the distance limit does it loss control, does it stop or how does it work and 2. can i control the drone behind the hill or behind a building where i do not see it.
@Kr1sVr4 жыл бұрын
If Mavic Mini loses connection to the remote, it returns back to homepoint(where drone was launched). You can control drone behind building but most likely you get some connection issues or even signal loss, it depends a lot.

I hope DJI releases an update to add active track to the mini. I would use it out in the field like you had with the 4 wheeler in this video.

Bro I absolutely love my Mavic Mini so much!!! It's absolutely amazing this little drone! It's just so simple to use and I get amazing results. The other day I flew out my balcony, it's on my channel.. Was scary, my first flight to the stadium!!! I love the Mini, it's my favorite toy ever!!! I've always wanted a tiny drone that is capable, and the Mini is just that! И също много ме кефи това че лети за 25 минути брат, дори в София нямам проблеми с 5.8ghz, изобщо всички 2.4ghz канали са червени, not available, major 2.4 interference близо до Хотел Плиска (which is visible from my videos I think) и затова не летя на далеч защото 5.8ghz не мисля че има много range.. Sweet
