DJI mavic mini se drone Restoring The Loop Line **Thirlmere to Colo Vale**

Heritage trains will return to Colo Vale for the first time in over 30 years as part of a $14.6 million investment in the Loop Line, an historic rail corridor stretching from Sydney’s South West to the Southern Highlands.
The NSW Government funded project will contribute significantly to the local visitor economy and support the continued success of the NSW Rail Museum at Thirlmere.
The project is due to be completed by mid-2023 and will be delivered by Transport Heritage NSW.
PROJECT TIMELINE
• From now: works commence on upgrading the existing operational section between l section between Picton and Buxton.
* From early 2022, works commence to reactivate the line between Buxton and Colo Vale.
*Mid 2023 works Complete

What a good idea to reopen loop for train rides and service by museum trains from mainline into thirlemere and return

The only thing that has changed in the last 10yrs is the fences at the Courijah level crossing, some weed killing and the placement of sleapers at Balmoral and Colo Vale. I don't want to be a wet blanket here but they have been talking about doing this since 1987 when the line was closed (well, services suspended) with the huge amount of money wasted when it was "Train Works", I'm suprised the museum is still going! I would love to see this actually completed, it would be a great boost to the local communities but I'll believe it when I see it.

Quite right, the small amount of work undertaken on the line so far would indicate that there in no urgency in getting the line to Colo Vale opened any time soon. Pity as the whole area needs some revitalizing particularly after the fires of 2019/2020.

Missed including footage of the remains of Hill Top Station, but included 'Death Bridge' a bit further along at the end of Ligar Street, Hill Top
