So... essentially if you have a normal Mavic you should just buy the low-noise props and if you break it buy a platinum instead to replace it for better ESCs. Thanks for the vid!

Great to see another TTT video, Tom. I too was worried about your frustration level. Anyway, one thing you didn't mention is that some pilots like their quad a bit noisier so they can locate it as it returns to home. Regardless, keep your videos coming. You are at the top of my list when I recommend KZbin videos to friends who are new to quads.

Another KZbin channel did a similar comparison and it shows that the new propellers actually reduce wind noise on the old mavic but it also does cut the rpm of the motors. They were wondering if the propellers could actually give it a little bit more run time bit never did the test. Would be great to see the results.

Are you going to do a video test of the both cameras? DJI noted in one of their forums that the hardware is different (same specs but different process) and the 1080p issue fixed. The 60fps was horrible with horrible aliasing and the platinum should be better. Prost und Lechaim!

Quick question..... Is a fantastic product, but the Gimbal issues!, does persist on Platinum? For an expensive drone this kind of issue makes any consumer think twice before buying another.... trust goes directly to the trash. So I wonder if DJI DID something about this. I can say if u add the new propellers to the mavic pro and test the mavic pro with mavic pro platinum togethers at the same time the platinum is by far still more quiet.

Thanks for the info the bundle packages for the older Mavic pro are pretty spectacular. Still on the fence if I want to spend more money on a 3 minute increase or if I want to invest that in a bundle for an older Mavic that provides extra batteries, filters, gimbal Baird’s etc. Really tough decision :)

I have the mavic pro flymore bundle, i am very happy with, i have purchased 2 sets of the new platinum low noise propellers which i have put on my mavic, yes it is/does seem quieter by 20% - 30% than having original props on. I have not tested if i get any extra flight time. It only cost me £15 for the 2 sets of new low noise props. yes the platinum does have new esc's but in the real world its not worth upgrading from the pro to the platinum as the speed/range etc is still the same. Just buy some new low noise props for your pro and enjoy

Thanks for the VLOG ! so basically there is nothing at all different about the New Mavic apart from the props..which I can buy online and an extra 3 mins ?? what DJI should have done instead of pretending to bring out a new model and charge more... is to have fixed the poor/delicate gimbal design, such a versatile drone, just a crappy camera/gimbal, sick of it always breaking.
