For people saying timecode is a big downside, just do a clap with your hands or a clapper board. I do a lot of talking heads corporate type with 2-3 cameras and just clap them with my hands. Works like a charm. Can sync really easy with DaVinci.

For an interview, slating is fine, but timecode becomes much more useful when there might be 10 interviews in a day. It’s much easier for the editor to find all cams/audio when timecode is all synced. Also, slating may not be feasible or practical for something like run-n-gun doc work, reality tv, or commercials. I’ve worked all of those many times over and without timecode, syncing multiple cams and audio sources would be way too time consuming. Recently, I worked on a multi day commercial project where we ran 3 cams, inspire 3, audio (where lavs had to record to packs at times), ronin 4D, and even the DJI mics. The only media that didn’t have timecode were the DJI mics and those added the most complexity to the workflow.

Great review. What lens did you use at 5:00, it looks great? I have the Sony UWP system that attaches to the hotshoe but it's bigger. I've been thinking about getting the DJI Mi 2 for light weight set ups but was hesitant because of the cables, and the potential of noise interference, but with this adapter I'm sold. Thanks.

Same! I actually had a whole section talking about that towards the end but ultimately took it out since it isn’t a con of the adapter haha. It would be cool if there was timecode support though. And even cooler if timecode could be fed through the adapter.

As others have mentioned, not having timecode is a big miss. The RODE Pro wireless TC isn’t perfect, but it’s good enough for content creation. I jam sync my A7Siii with the RX and I’m off and running…

Timecode is not really a big problem. Just do a clap with your hands or if you have a clapper board, do a clap with that.

Sorry, but I don’t get it. Did you record your audio to the camera or to the receiver? If you record to the camera, then you wont get 32-bit, except if your camera support 32-bit. And you set up your camera with 24-bit.

I recorded to the transmitters as well as to camera and switched the audio track throughout the testing. 32-bit was recorded to the transmitter while the in camera audio recorded was 24-bit.

Hyper accurate internal clock down to the frame. Most cameras don’t have accurate timecode clocks. I made a video for shutterstock that I guess never went live, so I’m going to make one for my channel
