It seems to descend very quickly! Is there a way to use wind/updrafts to keep it up longer like a real glider, or is this actually how the real glider behaves too

You can definitely keep it up longer, video doesn’t show.. but because it’s directly over my head hard to tell pitch angle. And I bring it down quick so I don’t stall and end up somewhere I shouldn’t! I’ll make another video soon at a field and longer video of towing it with a plane

I just bought one off eBay, my first impressions are this thing has the glide ratio of a brick, there's no way it'll ever thermal, it might work for a slope soarer but it is a sled ride from release to the ground. I''ll probably put it back on eBay and try to recoup my losses.

The UMX AK-21 was the worst flying gilder I ever paid for. Great idea, terrible plane.
