My guess why you lost control over the tin roof: The drone picked up GPS signals bouncing off the tin roof. In surveying we call it multi-path. The drone never lost lock but it suddenly thought it was somewhere else and it was trying to get back to where you stopped input on the sticks. Another words to the drone something dragged it somewhere else but in reality it never left. The GPS signals bouncing off the roof are longer than a direct line from the satellite or follow a "multipath". You would get the same condition should you fly along side a semi truck trailer high metal rig.....just a thought. With occu 2.0 this is the only plausible explanation. Great video SUBBED.

I have a similar issue with pokemon go. there's a building with a metal roof and whenever I'm near it it loses signal. other apps phone calls and texts dont have a problem but now I realize its the GPS

More than if you are broke or not, is the weight and the size of this drone. I like the hiking and is so crazy going with a Mavic Pro 2 or an EVO Pro. The Mini is the perfect drone.

Some really great info here, thank you! i actually just picked this up and am pretty impressed with it so far. I shoot cinematic style cosplay vids and movie shorts as well as studio reviews (I'm also in the Tampa area) and wanted a way to get some great establishing shots, and I hope this will be it. I was torn between the Mini 2 and the Mavic Air 2 for the tracking and bigger sensor. My main set up is the GH5 and Weebill-S. Do you think this will match up ok with GH5 footage with some grading?

Several other Mini 2 owners have reported some strange behavior with the Mini 2...e.g., 1) complete loss of control of the drone even though the drone was less than a mile away and in a COMPLETELY rural environment with no interference and only very modest amounts of wind; 2) AND gimbal snap back issues and 3) App crashes...screen goes black. It seems that there are quite a few issues that need to be worked out...some of which could cause you to lose your drone.

It works for very occasional work....I would not want this for regular work. And if you are a real estate photographer and "you are broke"....you have bigger issues than needing a drone for your business !! I have run a real estate photo business for 7 years and can tell you that I have had only 3 jobs (out of nearly a thousand) calling for drone work. Better investment ?: 360 degree camera !!

Just like you can get away with using this professionally, without anyone knowing...You can get away with pointing out that this drone is under the weight limit, and claiming you're just a hobbyist. I've fudged my way out of a lot more difficult situation than that before and gotten away with it, and I'm sure I will again. Possibly this week.
