Awsome video! Something went wrong with my gimble arm on my Mini 2. The gimble at an average of about a minute of flight would tilt to the right or the left at random. The drone has not crashed or collided with anything. So DJI looked at the drone, found out the gimble arm was faulty. So they replaced my mini with a new one. And your simple to follow video quickly and easily got the drone linked and me back in the air. Much appreciated 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

The UI on your phone may be different from the video. I am using the iPhone 13. It says in the video "Connect Aircraft" button at bottom right but my phone says "Connection Guide". In the video when you click on the "Connect Aircraft" button there is settings options and tabs. On my phone I get "Select Aircraft Model" which is a drone model selection screen. In order to follow the youtube video I needed to press "Camera View" at the top right, then the three dots settings button at the top right. The video does not show the drone selection screen.

OK, so when I open the App I do not get "Connect to Aircraft" I get "Connection Guide". I select Mini 2 and get a screen with instructions - it doesn't move beyond there. I can see that the Drone and Controller are paired. My phone is 64 Bit. I can select Camera View as the ONLY option - when I do I get a "RC not connected to mobile device" error. I have re-paired several times. uninstalled, re-installed the software, restarted all devices - NOTHING?

What worked for me was number 1 make sure your plugged into the right cable! There are 4 types of phone connectors given. Also download the app from the website and instal that way. Youll have to allow files permissions to instal programs from otber sources otber than the play store. Play store apps dont work. This relates to samsung galaxy s21. Not apple.

After finally working out how to charge everything and set it up I went out for a test and it overheated. Yet to get it off the ground but I am sure it will be ok eventually, just don't bother using it when the temperature is 38C or more.

Do you have these instructions in writing some place I will need to print them out and reference until I have performed the link up sequence about a dozen times. Shame you just cant power up the Drone and Controller and they automatically link up OR after both are powered up just push "Link" button on the drone and a "Link" button on the controller keeping the who process fast, safe, intuitive so no manual is required. To be honest I was waiting for the narrator in the video to say "Whilst Standing On One Foot With The Opposite Eye Closed..." Thanks for the video.

I had that problem. I had to uninstall DJI fly and install the latest version of DJI fly and that wasn't easy to find. I was getting ready to return it, I was pissed. Those quick guides and manuals are useless.

Thanks for the tutorials. My dji mini 2 is not connecting to the Remote controller. The drone lights are not blinking in sequence as inidcated in this video (after four seconds press). The Remote Controller lights are blinking in sequence but can't connect to the RC. Another problem is that the drone is not powering off completely. One light remains plus the continous blinking yellow light. What could be the problem?

Hello I really need some help I’ve bought the drone and on 2nd time flying it as soon as I pressed and confirmed take off the drone decided to go backwards and went into the water. Hi Jimbo, DJI Mini 2 controller is not compatible with Mavic Mini, they have different transmission system, Mavic Mini uses enhanced WiFi and Mini 2 uses Ocusync 2.0.

​@@DJITutorials Thanks for the info but I would like to know exactly what is actually different between the Mini 2 drone vs the original, i.e., hardware or simply firmware. From what I've read, Occusync uses both 2.4 and 5.8 channels simultaneously to provide a better signal (from the controller) and the orig Mini already has both 2.4 and 5.8Ghz capabilities so I'm curious how difficult it would be to tweak Mini 1 drone to use with Mini 2 controller. Gotta admit my otherwise excellent CE Mavic Mini is nearly useless here in Thailand with such horrible range and miserable lag/latency in urban areas that I'm looking under every rock trying to conjure up a fix, no matter how outlandish it may seem. The bottom line is DJI clearly completely screwed up with the CE Mini version for many of us. At least the Mini 2, even the low-power CE version, appears to be what the original Mavic Mini should have been. DJI obviously knows they screwed up and should offer Mini 1 buyers a replacement or upgrade path to the Mini 2. We all know that ain't gonna happen.

🤦‍♂️Like many people here, I was having trouble connecting my controller to my phone. It turns out the solution was so obvious I feel a bit stupid. I downloaded the wrong App!! 🤦‍♂️. It doesn't help that DJI has to many apps in the play store and Google play. You have to make sure you are using the DJI Fly app. Scan the QR code on your user manual to get the app directly from the DJI website. Not dji pilot, not dji go, not dji go 4.

Power on the aircraft and remote controller and connect them to the DJI Fly app. After powering on, the aircraft will automatically search for the satellite signal. When the app shows that the number of satellite signals reaches 10, continue to wait for about one minute. Power off the remote controller and aircraft and then restart them. Check whether the image transmission signal can switch between 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. Please keep us updated if the issue persists.

Also I see a lot of people confused about connecting the drone.. first you must make sure your phone is compatible and there are many posts online to find this out.. If your phone is compatible and still can not connect try linking the controller to the drone, very simple to do and again many videos showing how to link your drone.. If still can not get the dji app to work you may have the problem I had where you power on the drone then connect controller and go into the dji site to connect and the drone just down not want to connect.. Try connecting your phone to the controller first and power on the controller, short press then long press to put it in linking mode.. now open the dji app and click connect to aircraft, it will then say open your legs and slide the battery in 😅 then short and long press the power button on the drone , wait just a minute for it to go into video mode where it will promptly ask for updates to the firmware, gps, imu, sim card etc.. Hope this helps someone get in the air 🙂

I noticed if your phone's interface where the connector cable goes is not secure (loose from overuse) then this could be the problem. If you push it in with a little pressure and you see it start to charge/connnect, you know thats the issue.

The "Connect Aircraft" is button is not showing up at all in the app. Instead it says "Connection Guide". I called DJI Support and they said that the problem was that my phone (SE) was not compatible with DJY Fly App. So I got a an iphone 8 which both the DJI Mini 2 Box and DJI Online says it is compatible with the DJI Fly App. And yet it still says "Connection Guide." Please help.

Hi there, we are sorry for any inconvenience. May I ask if there is a protective case on the mobile device? If so, please remove it and try again. Please disconnect and reconnect the USB cable from both the mobile phone and the remote controller, waiting 10 seconds before reconnecting the USB cable. If possible, please retry with another USB cable. You may also try to reinstall the app to see if it works. Could you please also tell us your phone number to check more details?

To be precise there is a discrepancy with what you say in fly first time, I may understand the reason as a second thought, but it's a bit confusing since also there you talk of linking. I am talking of the video "how to fly dji mini 2" video. In there the order is switch on RC, connect to aircraft, switch on UA, install dji fly and then link. Anyway these videos are useful, however a bit more of a systemic order of the entire tutorial play list making it thought like it was a 10 videos guide and make this feel to the user would help improve the quality, including a better audio "performance". I can't connect the drone to the RC. It was working from the very beginning but after 12 flights the connection was lost. I'm trying to follow the instruction, the RC goes into the pairing mode but pressing the button on the drone for 4 sec+ doesn't make it pair. And it only turns off if you remove the battery. It's locking on.

@@DJITutorials sim, era a última versão do firmware. Mensagem "aeronave não conectada". Aconteceu após eu copiar as fotos do cartão para o notebook usando um adaptador para micro sd card. Fiz downgrade do firmware para a versão que ainda está na Play Store e retirei o cartão de memória e consegui emparelhar e voar. Agora vou testar com o upgrade de firmware (apk) e recolocar o cartão formatado.

@@sergioespinoza4252 Tive um problema no drone há poucos dias e relatei aqui. Vc disse q poderia caso de recall. Já vi outros vídeos seus sobre o sd card, q não pode ser de baixa qualidade. No meu caso, perdi a conexão do controle com o drone, q não bindava e só piscava amarelo no led do quick transfer. Outras pessoas relataram o mesmo. Lembrei q fui baixar fotos e vídeos pro notebook, usando um adaptador pro sd card. Uso um kodak. Espetei no notebook a abri os arquivos direto do card, sem copiar pro note. O card kodak criou um programa executável (.exe) pra rodar os arquivos. Quando voltei o card pro drone, ele deve ter identificado esse executável como vírus, durante aquele autodiagnostico inicial (quando piscam luzes de todas as cores). Formatei o card e o drone funcionou normal. Espero q essa informação possa ajudar mais gente.

I couldn't link my Mini 2 with the RC. When I turn on the drone green-yellow lights blink indicating normal status but as soon as I turn on the RC my drone starts blinking red. Also when I open the app in my phone it says 'RC not connected to mobile'. Please help.

@@DJITutorials Hey thanku for your response. Btw just wanna let you kno that I used another mobile device to fly my mini 2 and it is working totally fine now. But it was so strange that i initially used Google Pixel 2xl device to fly and it was working fine bt suddenly it stopped connecting. I couldn't understand the reason behind it. Is it true that this will only work with certain Android phones, like some people have mentioned on here? $800 for the drone including insurance, sure hope I don't have to buy another phone as well to run this. Because I get through three steps and then when I connect the phone it doesn't allow to link. I can't even take it out for a first fly.
