Dude! I've watched so many hours of vidz on this drone and also read the manual, so I clicked on your vid expecting to learn nothing new. Wow, was I wrong. I kept pausing to rewind and in the end started up my drone and tried a few out. This is a terrific "how to" vid even for those who think they know everything about operating their drone. Top Top Banana. Thanx

I've got to say, this video actually does spell out some useful features on the Mini 2 without any clickbait nonsense. Just because some of them appear in the config interface doesn't mean DJI took the time to explain them in detail. This video DID flesh them out with real life scenarios where you'd want to use them. Excellent work! That's why I'm a subscriber.

@mustanghuey893 жыл бұрын
@@vanl.johnson8342 I believe that you just exit out of the the DJI FLY APP your drone will still be connected. Then just open your camera on your phone start recording, then start your drone by bringing both sticks in and down then take off by pushing the left stick up or whatever one you have programed for up and down. Once you have gotten all the footage with your phone camera just open back up the dji fly app and go into the your drone. Its pretty easy.

Just got my drone last week. Had a few connection problems so had to drive an hour and half to sort the problem then return. We live in a small town/village about 1200 people in New Zealand Been practicing in the paddocks plenty of obstacles like trees, wind turbines, Power pole, power lines, pylons, sheep, cattle, deer, cats pigeons. Regulations we're not to let the drone out of physical eye site. I got my drone so I can inspect roofs take a plan view photo and measure for a reroof. Blackpool tower that brought back some memories, from the sixties I just discovered this KZbin channel this morning. Very informative

@@DMProductions Tell me Darren can this drone operate without mobile connection? I don’t understand the communication from controller to aircraft if the distance of the aircraft can be over 6ks away. I built a hut a few years back and there is no mobile reception. I just want to do a small movie of this hut. On the land that is looked after by the department of conservation I would like to do videos of some huts for maintenance purpose. Doc don’t allow drones on forest parks and national parks which i understand for others. But my intention would be to fly when no one is there by and only in the forest parks Huts where for the old deer cullers and some tramping clubs. We’ve got about 900 in the forest parks Cheers Paul C

I don’t know if you know this or not, but Google Earth can also be used to measure distances, such as but not limited to rooflines, property lines and so on and so forth, I don’t know exactly how accurate it is, but from my experience, around my property, it’s been fairly close and reliable. I do know that some roofing companies use Google Earth to get rough measurements of the distance around roofs in order to estimate what all materials, and how much, will be needed. So, along with your drone, you may want to add Google Earth to your repertoire and/or your tool bag for future uses. Good luck and I hope you all have a wonderful day and a prosperous 2025!!! #✌️❤️😊

That VLC metadata tip is amazing! Thanks! I'm a brand new pilot and this is my first drone other than a toy in the house. It's crazy to admit, but flying FPV freaks me out. :) This thing is easy to fly but judging the depth and position of objects on a phone screen is really difficult for me as a beginner. Also my own height against trees, light poles, etc. when the gimble is aimed anywhere other than zero. I'm practicing in my back yard, which is small, and has some good obstacles for practice. But I find I think I'm about to hit something when I'm not, and MUCH WORSE, think I'm clear of things when I'm not. An example of this is flying past the corner of my house, where I think I'm beyond the corner but I'm really not. Also becoming space-aware of objects above me and to the sides is tricky. To hopefully help with this I have ordered a clip that will allow me to use an iPad Mini instead of the iPhone 12 Pro. I hope it helps. I'm sure I'll get used to it with practice but it's nerve-wracking! :)
