Thanks. I'm just trying it. So I go the the app on the phone. Then turn the drone on and once on, long press on the butt button. It starts flashing blue like his does but nothing pops up on the phone. Any ideas what's up?

What about for photos? I just got my Mini2 and I was able to transfer a few videos with no issues but I don't see any options for transferring photos in the original size, I just see the cached photos.

Where can I find the files on the phone when I have downloaded them? On what folder? also, the files that I download with direct connection of the SD card and my desktop come with all the information about the file(time, GPS, etc) , why? I don't need this information on the video, it damages the video, how could I transfer without thoses texts?

How about a step by step video of the best way to transfer videos and pictures from the DJI Mini 2 to a PC? I am confused. I took a few pictures and videos today (first flight). If I understand it correctly the pictures in the Fly App album at this point are for viewing and are not the images you will want to keep. I followed your video instructions and quick transferred one of the videos from the SD to the App, I think. However where did it go? Can I upload it from the App to my PC? It just turns milky and sits? I suspect that it is in the App album with the others? Some have little download icons others dont. Then how do you transfer the video to a PC? Do you have to quick transfer the photos to get the best quality? I see some videos that say you can plug your power cord into your laptop and transfer pictures that way. Is that the best way other than pulling the SD card? I must sound like the newbe I am. Thanks.

Hi! :) Why is it not asking if you want the 4k in full download, only in trimmed? And do I have to save the file on my phone first and then send it to my laptop again? Cant i just save the full 4k file directly on my laptop from the drone? they are at same wifi all of them. Usually 4k files are too large to save on a phone. Thanks in advance

I have figured out that I can screen record on my phone while using it during my recording with the mini 2 but not sure how to edit the two together so I can add the audio

You can still use your ipad to transfer, you need to connect it to the remote first then go in the library and download the cache file from there, its all explained in DJI mini 2 first flight tutorial video on youtube. Well im french so might have not understand it the good way, maybe look at the video and keep us posted if its working, ill test it if i receive mine today...

Thanks for that information. The only problem I see with that is a lot of extra work which may not be worth it in the end. For me and my workflow it would be easiest just to transfer it to my smart phone and then just airdrop it to my iPad. Thanks for sharing this information

Great and helpful video on how this is done. My only issue is that I can get the drone to go into quick transfer mode but upon entering the Wifi menu, I don't see the SSID/ Wifi name of the drone. Bluetooth and wifi are turned on on my device. Using Android 12 if that helps.

I just got the dji mini 2 and it seems like the button on the bottom has a little plus mark. Is that supposed to be there? Im wondering if the led is broken or something. Also, are we allowed to charge the dji mini 2 batteries in the hub the first time? I charged all 3 of my batteries with the hub and all of them turn the drone on so I don't think there is an issue. I saw that there was an issue with the air 2 and charging hub for the first time and I wanted to check if that was an issue. Im scared now that my drone might fall out of the sky. Please let me know. My DJI Mini 2 overheats during quick transfers of large files (> 5 minutes, 4K video) to my iPad Pro. When it overheats, it turns itself off and the file is lost. I haven't been able to retrieve it with SD card recovery software. I had to use my low definition files from my phone instead. Anyone else heard of this problem or any solutions? I am now opening the battery compartment and laying the drone on its top to allow for better air circulation. Fingers crossed. I have just sent this issue off to DJI and will let you know if I receive an answer. thank you for your great KZbin videos !

Mine won't even bring up the "Join Network" box that you have, just get the "Device to use DJI Fly" with a swirl icon, then says "something has came up. The application has canceled the request to choose a device" Both bluetooth and WiFi are on... Junk basically...

Hello Shawn, I have had my DJI mini 2 for about two weeks now, and have made eight flights I have subscribe to a lot of drone channels and a few of them like yours are a great help but I was trying to figure out the quick transfer which I found your video very informative my problem is doing either the quick transfer and on your recommendation I bought the Apple Card reader. But when I shoot 4K quick transfer will not download and neither will the card reader in 4K so I’m assuming it is my older iPhone 6 plus with 128 gigs. If I set my video to 1080 P either 30 FPS or 60 FPS. It’s no problem it downloads fine in quick transfer. I just got the card reader tonight so I shot four videos in 4K but the car reader would not download them they show up as to import but they do not download. So I’m sure if I switched over to 1080 P The card reader will work just like quick transfer works I’m guessing my phone CPU just can’t handle 4K. Any advice you can offer would be most appreciated. Used the quick transfer right after flying and tried to download two 4 GB videos. 3/4 of the download the drone sent me an overheating warning and to shut it down. It’s best to wait it to cool down after flying before using this feature or just simply take the sd card out and put it into your computer if you can.

Great video. Anyone know how to transfer to a Samsung galaxy A7 tab and have it work? I plugged in my tablet to the remote on my DJI MINI 2. I was able to download all the video to the tablet but they won't play. Say something like, UNABLE TO PLAY VIDEO. Or something about it can't play THIS TYPE OF FILE. It downloaded them fine. Just the same as when I downloaded them to my Galaxy Note 10. Which is what I used to fly the drone. I'm going to start using my tablet to fly this week. I cannot figure out why the downloaded video from my album, on the DJI FLY App to my Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 won't play back. Any help would be greatly appreciated

When you record video, it should automatically record to the SD card. It also records a lo-res version in the fly app. From there you can take the SD card out of the Drone and plug it into a computer to transfer content. If you don’t want it to store anything on your phone in the settings, there’s an option for cache. You can adjust how much space is reserved on your phone for those lo-res temporary files.

Yes you can take the mem cardo and plug it directly into a computer with a card reader and offload here 4K footage that way. That’s a quick and simple way to do it

I get get the quick transfer to connect, but when I go to download my photos it says that I need to connect to the drone's bluetooth if I want the full rez files. Great Video but I've went through a full batterie and it keeps saying connecting connecting failed. Plz turn drone off and try again. I tried the button for the wifi but it's asking for a password, can't figure it out. I've used my own password doesn't work I've tried the numbers on the box don't work, so I just put the memory card into my phone, I'm actually disappointed. But it flies great once you have messed around with the camera settings etc. Ps also put a fan on it, it gets really 🔥

My “trimmed download” is always grayed out and I cannot click it :( I also am having a weird issue with the DJI fly app, after I have high res videos downloaded it will sometimes randomly delete them and some of the videos will never download and seem to just disappear off of the SD card. Unfortunately I gave up on the wireless transfer. I now just load the footage from the SD card onto my PC and then from my PC onto my phone 🤦🏻‍♂️

I bought an sd card reader and writer, I have not been losing footage but 98% of my flights I just take photos because 4K video uses a lot of storage fast 😂
