I've had my Mini 2 for about 6 months and done all the text book noob moves - fly as high as I can, as fast as I can, blah blah blah, but is reflected in my footage as jerky, uninteresting and basically amateur. I now want to really learn how to fly it properly and get some great footage. This is an excellent tutorial. Thank you so much for this. I've written these down in my 'little black book' and will be practicing these very soon. I've given myself a local project of producing a local village cinematic video showcase where I live. I'll be putting these to the test. 👍

Great tutorial Darren, the emphasis on smooth control movements reminded me of gliding instructors at the SGU near Kinross telling pupils not to "stir the porridge" In other words, the aircraft can fly itself, instead of constantly moving the controls around, all you need do is gently guide it in the direction you want to go.

Great Vid D, hopefully the advanced video coming covers how to do a consistent circle around an subject from close range. How do you use the sticks to do it well. Quickshots only 1 rotation, would be great if DJI added a rotation number and that would solve my issue.

This is possible on the DJI Air 2S. You can set it to fly circles around a point of interest, and then you decide which direction it flies in and how quickly, and it will just do that continuously. I'm not sure about on this drone, I only have that one.
