I gotta say this was the most helpful video to see about editing off the dji fly app. I haven't really played with it much but wow I didn't know it did all of that. I sent this video to my email gonna have to ho back and watch several times to pick it all up. I need to start doing these things more with the footage I shoot. Thanks very helpful

Nice, comprehensive tutorial. I'm new to post, about 10 hours now on resolve and I love it. I thought I would try an in app edit and did it a couple days ago with the limited footage I had from my drone (waiting for refresh- nuff said) and I must say the UI was impressive, I didn't color correct but for a first try...I'll soon try a more comprehensive one.

It is for the export, Maybe 4K is too much for some phones! Bit of a shame, but still a great feature, the 1080p upscaled to 4k quite nicely

Hi Daniel, great video. I use the DJI-Fly-App, because it is convenient and fast. Usually I add mulitple pictures at the end of my video. To add the correct cross fade there is a function to do this for all pictures, but once I see the duration of the pictures too short, I cannot lengthen them for all pics. So it is quite cumbersome to click into each picture and move the slider from 2 sec. to about 3 sec. This is necessary, if you have a smooth cross fade integrated, because otherwise you see the full picture only less than a second.

Is there any way to get 4k quality when the video is complete, or is 1080p the max you can go ? Also if you have to upscale the video from 1080p to 4k how would you do that. ? ... Great useful video though, very easy to understand. 👍

Hi Mark, I dont think you can get to 4k on the app. To upscale i'd pop the file into a video editor on a 4k timeline and increase the scale of the export until its full screen. You can also do this with AI now too, check out Topaz labs video enhance HD :)

Love the information. But I have an issue, how do you get music into the app. Every time I try to import a mp3 music file I get "Incorrect audio format".

Great video. I must admit I only use the dji fly app for editing. I bought the mini 2 earlier this year and didnt want to spend the money on a new new PC or laptop to edit videos. I may go down that road in the end but the dji fly app suites my needs at the moment. The main issue I find with it is that it clogs up my phone with lots of videos so you have to be strict on housekeeping and deleting imported files when you have finished edits. Also be careful if you sync yr phone with cloud as it could start to use up yr free allowance. I found this with google. I also only film in 1080. I think the file size issue on 4K would be much worse.

It is awesome the app, only downsides is its always very jittery (especially in the corners) and only outputs 1080p ! But great vid , you always get into details !!

I didn't find it too bad in the corners, but yeah a 4k export would be great to keep the resolution throughout the processs!

I was using DJI Fly app in my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. For phone's memory was full, I reset my phone. Again re-install DJI Fly app. But no FightRecord folder was created. Even when I fly my drone the FlightRecord folder is not shown. Now what can I do? I deleted DJI folders from my phone and reinstalled DJI Fly app. I tapped "Auto-Sync Flight Records". Newly created DJI folders but these folders are not auto installed: 1. Analytics, 2. Camera, 3. DJI_Temp, 4. Editor, 5. FlightRecord, 6. Storage. Please advise.

Hi Darren, you should be able to open the project again on your phone to make any further changes. The footage will remain untouched on the phone to edit again aswell, It is not a destructive editor :)
