Great timing. I was just reviewing all of the features in the edit app this weekend and had no idea how much it can do. However, there is hardly any info on it even from DJI on how to best use it. I think you are the only one who has created a complete video on this function. Thank you!

Very informative video... Do you know if there is a way to crop or edit the music in the fly app? Sometimes you have a long intro into a song and can't delete the long boring part of the audio and get right into the exciting part...?!?

I’ve got a tip for you , god knows where I got it from 🤷‍♂️ I watch a lot of KZbin videos . When you want to download files from the drone , press the back light for a few seconds till it turns blue , now your phone will download files five times faster , seems to set up a special WiFi connection ( I think ) . Great videos 👍

i watched a few of these "how to" edit video`s on the mini 2 and have to admit they were rubbish! your`s is in a different league and is far easier to follow, to be honest i wasn`t going to bother editing as the other video`s made it look so difficult, but i`m going to persevere and give it a try, thanks very much.

Very helpful. I don't use the DJI Fly App that much for editing aside from Trimmed Download. Still, the app does have lots of features for basic editing. Of course, having RAW photos is amazing for a tiny drone.

Hi as a first watch it was very informative 👍 even left you a thumbs up..I was wondering if the dgi 2 as a window to video and download to my phone or just a strait download to my phone as soon as I pick video record as sometimes it gets lost between drone and phone and does not record and save to phone or drone..hope you or someone understands wot I am going on about..I am 70 and the old grey matter doesn't comprehend..so in short want to record items to phone directly or dgi mini 2s sim card so I can download and save. Thank you for posting that, i looked at it but not in any depth . I need to get the lighting right on some of my videos and this will help. Some of my videos look blown out and this is a good way of changing them. Need to operate the ISO and Shutter speeds on the drone. This is all the stuff I need to know vs. "What's this do?" experiments. The one thing I miss is an "undo" especially if you delete the wrong cut! A fader for music track would help as well, especially at the end.

There is a fade out option in th volume adjustment bit took me awhile to work it out. See my early vid edits one with fade others minus. agree hugely on the undo function too.

Just a small tip that I found after reading the manual, to late in my case unfortunately. I inadvertently removed my 128gb SD card whilst the Mini 2 was still powered on. That card is now scrap, fortunately I didn’t have anything valued on it. Thanks for this video, I’ve been flying a Mavic Pro for 3 years and I’ve never learned how to edit. I actually bought the Mini 2 purely because I can edit on the phone, once I’ve watched your video, I will be able to anyhow. Great content from your channel.

You could try reformatting the card. You will loose all the contents permanently but it might rescue the card. I used a card formatting app on my Mac to rescue a damaged card. But it only got half the capacity back. So I inserted the card back in the Mini 2 and formatted it again and the whole card was usable again.

I recently made an edit using a bunch of clips but I was using the proxy footage. Now I’d like to essentially sync the highres footage to the lo-res proxy so I can get a Hi-Rez final of the video. Is that possible with a DJI App? If not how can I do this about having to manually re-edit the entire video?

I've been using the app as my Windows lappy can't handle 4k video. I've found the app useful apart from being a bit fiddly, the lack of fade in or out and also being unable to upload in 4k.

I no longer have a computer I’ve only used my iPhone for everything for the past five or six years I haven’t even touched a computer, anything I should do with my phone or my Nikon camera I usually put into iMovie I am very familiar with that application and find it very useful for editing movies and photos what are your thoughts on iMovie? And can you import the videos from the mini 2 straight into iMovie? I also have a western digital my cloud wireless pro 4 TB which I back everything up to I am able to transfer files between my phone and the wireless hard drive,So wondering what kind of options I have between the DJI mini and my WD My Cloud 4 terabyte and my iPhone and iMovie?? I have other editing apps but I’ve always found iMovie very easy to use and work with especially once you learn it’s Interface. Sorry for being long-winded but any advice from experience editors would be very helpful and useful.

iMovie is great, I actually started on GoPro editor years ago, then iMovie was my go to, free and easy to use. As I got more experienced I moved to final cut. However you can’t get it on mobile. Have you tried lumafusion ? That’s on mobile and a decent editor. I did my whole London iPhone 12 Pro Max on lumafusion on iPad! It’s in between iMovie and final cut features wise. Take care

Great tutorial thankyou. I started using the editor doing single videos and found by accident the fade in fade out for the music by tapping the music section under the video. Then tried to do it again on the next video and it didn't come up to fade in or fade out not sure what the go is there.

Thanks for the video. Just downloaded a 2.40 GB video from drone to DJI Fly. I can see it in DJI Fly but with no thumbnail image and then the App crashes. I've set the cache capacity at 4 GB; also tried with Automatic but same problem. Disinstalled and reinstalled app to no avail. Any idea what the problem is? Thanks

I have been editing using dji I run a Samsung 21 v 12 update. Dj app wasn't compatible with this Samsung update so I had to update to dji latest release. Since doing this my videos being created in dji become corrupted and it asks me to delete it. It's a real problem as I can't do a edit in 1 go and save it out. Dji forum no answers . My videos are about 15 min long . Any ideas . Thanx Ade

Most editors let you ad a colour block. I usually add a black colour block then use a fade transition for fade to black :-)

Tip. For a black fade video clip I cover the Mini 2 lens and record 10 seconds then upload. Use it as an intro or outtro.. enjoy..

The biggest issue I have with the using DJI editing, you cannot "undo" anything. Make a mistake and you have two options, live with it or start again.

Thank you for the video, but I need more basic help and do not know where to find it After the most basic editing, such as clipping a video or reversing, and then hitting "Done", the video is saved to my phone, but when I look at the thumbnail for the video, it is black. When I try to play it, the error message says it cannot be played. I have had zero success! I'm using an Android Pixel 2 XL phone. Can someone give me some help or direct me to where I can get it?

The app allows me to complete the edits and export the finished video but they are all 0kb when completed. Photo templates work fine. Do you have any suggestions Darren?

Why do I always have problems when I'm editing, when I add music it plays fine while I'm editing but as soon as I save it and try to play video back the audio is messed up
