Where would one find the bms battery board to be able to replace it if it were bad say due to maybe a short in the bus or capacitor or something, do I have to buy a new battery instead of repairing it?

@@KSDAirPhoto they know what they're doing, they want everything to be proprietary so that no one else can just make one 3dprint it and go. This is why I no longer like dji, they're like iPhone, everything is so secured to their own system it leads to a lonely nights. Why not make things so that it can be innovated? I'd rather go get the li-on and solder a xt-30 or 60 then 3d print a pack to make it look pretty then connect that to the hobby drone that I made myself then ever buy another dji product!

How hard is it to swap the Mini Pro 4 batteries BMS with the Mini Pro 4 Plus BMS (Intelligent Battery)? I'd prefer not having my RID displayed from the larger battery.

Hi its not very hard to do it

Doesn't matter if you swap it. The BMS is programmable, and you will need to set the parameters correctly, otherwise the drone will think the battery is lower capacity anyways.

@@BLR1GBattlemaster actually must remove the PF flag, and set correct cell capacity and capacity of cell package. After the few changes and discharges the battery bms will do "autotlearning"

You wouldn't want to add more cells unless you added two extra in parallel, adding any more cells in series will alter the voltage and it from being a 2S battery. The problem is if you double the number of cells in parallel then you're going to be doubling the weight and will need a bigger case. Plus the extra weight will be putting more stress on the clip mechanism that holds the battery in place. If anything you'd just want to replace the stock cells with larger capacity ones.

No When you go from a 4S to a 6S the LiPo stack up thickness increase Bad News Bears Only way to improve is to order buy and install a better LiPo cells like graphene LiPo

They are LiPo NBD You can buy LiPo almost any where and power and size and quantity are a Easy Squeezey buy. I fly Align 470 that is all I use for the last 10 years. and Graphene lipo batteries are the most advance and I know DJI do not use Graphene lipo batteries in their Standard Intelligent Flight Battery or the long flight Intelligent Flight Battery. The more advance Graphene are just to expensive. One nice thing about Graphene is long looong life with charge cycles almost un limited. So what is my point! With Graphene lipo replacement inside a Standard Intelligent Flight Battery you can get 1.5hrs maybe 2hrs FT. 99.99% of the LiPo I rebuild the LiPo designation is printed on the face of the LiPo. I am positive none would in their right mind would attempt to remove the LiPo designation printed on the LiPo face.

When LiPo go bad they puff. Do not try to deflate a bad LiPo! When a LiPo is bad and puffed they are really bad and do not try to charge or discharge just toss them and buy and new LiPo cell. Looks like 4 LiPo cells (4S LiPo) but he did not cut off the kapton tape so ?? on the # of LiPo Cells??? With my Align 470 I use a LiPo cell balance charger and everyone that flys Heli or Plank have cheap $20 LiPo cell balance chargers. LiPo cell balance charger means sometimes when you charge multi cell LiPo after 10-20 charges you want to balance the charge (equal V) on each LiPo cell. LiPo chargers can balance charge automatically.

@@KSDAirPhoto LiPo each cell has a printed info on the cell. When you have that printed data you can order LiPo cells. With the LiPo printed info most LiPo seller offer optional cells that are smaller better than the ones used in DJI. That is where you have to try to order the type of LiPo. Now DJI battery looks to be a 4S LiPo or 4 LiPo cells stacked up in series or parrell. The board on the front of those LiPo cells is LiPo balance charge board which is NBD. Once you buy new cells you may want to buy $10-$20 LiPo charger and not use DJI charger board!
