I bought a Phantom 3 Pro back in 2017. In 2020 a tree took it's life, a result of my error. A few weeks back I saw a mini 3 at my local Sam's Club and felt inspired to go online where i found the one i want. I purchased a dji Mini 3 Pro (DJI RC) and now I await for its arrival. you are right! I have bunch of dji drones, most of them are high end. But I love the mini series and I really love my mini 2 for scouting and exploring, my only complaint is the lack of obstacle avoidance tech, which I actually like having just incase. Like my mavic 2 pro I got, I fly that down tunnels sometimes to explore them if big enough and side sensing keeps it much more centered and blocks it from drifting into the wall.

Getting my hands on the mini 3 pro would mean the world to me! Having sadly crashed my mini 2 last month and not being able to afford to repair it cuz of me still being in school and not being easy to earn enough money at the moment really makes me miss creating so many drone videos of the beautiful place where I live and would be such an amazing thing to be able to create again by winning this even more powerful and amazing drone! Thanks for nice review! Could you please clarify me 2 things: 1) does the brightness change smoothly (stepless) in the video shooting mode in AutoISO? It happens when you shoot in sunny weather and you have to use auto ISO. But when the sun sets behind a cloud or comes out, or there is a "flight" from behind the house (from dark scene), the brightness changes dramatically with hard steps in video. For example in Mavic 2 Pro the automatic exposure works good but with step changes (the brightness does not change smoothly as on ion regulary camera); 2) is it possible to shoot "at an angle" with the drone's camera (it has a vertical mode and a horizontal more - so is it possible to move it at an angle, such as little imitating of FPV or moves imitation with an electronic steadicam), especially the joysticks on the remote controller are similar to ones on FPV?

Wind resistance is supposed to be the same as the Air 2s, real life flight time, add 5 mins to what ya get with your Mini 2, if you have one that is.

Pretty much sums it up for me, SOLD! ;) Been following the leaks and specs closely for weeks. I only have 3 remaining questions. 1. Screen brightness in the sun... same as the Pro controller? 2. Does the controller have usb or hdmi OUT? 3. Is there any indication of waypoints, current or future?

I have the same question about brightness. The DJI RC has a USB (maybe out) but no HDMI. HDMI out is one of the premium functions of the RC PRO. Unfortunately DJI doesn't have waypoints in the latest generation of drones since MA2.

Footage looks low quality missing details. Not much different from mini 2. It could be the way you encoded? Watching in a 4k it look like an up-convented footage from 1080p.

Whats the video transmission latency like? An easy way to test is put a stopwatch in the view of the drone cam and the controller next to the drone. Then video record all three and upload. When we pause we can see the different time on the stopwatch and video feed on the controller. Thanks :)

How does it behave if the tail sweeps out in a curve. If you fly a curve this is the behavior. Does the sensors detect? Maybe you fly a hand with along a wall and make a curve away from it.

Brilliant Darren. Can you test if the gimbal can maintain -90 degrees in photo move whilst moving the drone about. The mini2 wasn’t able to do that.

Take a bow my friend 🙂 I currently own and fly a Mini 2, which was based on your test & review videos, and you've done it again, I would absolutely love to own and fly a Mini 3 Pro.
