@@Mrthezanax I think he did not. Normally it is against law to fly a drone regardless of its weight in the central Istanbul without having the formal permission from local authorities. I can also specify that he is lucky as there are actually specific systems called "ilter" which is a drone detection and neutralisation system", but I guess, when they see how you fly your drone, they might let you fly it. Yet, there are many professional drone pilots who lost their drones because of this system. That´s why as a Turkish person, I was never able to fly my drone in Bosphorus area, and I am certainly jealous of him.

All drone pilots who wish to fly a drone weighing more than 500 grams must register with the Turkish government prior to flying. Register here. Great video and wonderful scenery for shooting! I just started flying my Mini 3 (which is my first drone) and definitely start getting that feeling of anxiousness when I take the drone up above 200ft or when it is 800-1000m away (and yes, in my country BVLOS for micro drones is allowed as long as you're being safe) or if it is windy. But it's probably because this is still fairly new for me. :) Finally got my Freewell ND filters and looking forward to trying them out.

Make sure you practice a bit before flying there, as sometimes when the seagulls attack you need to manoeuvre manually to dodge the strike lol so just be familiar which stick increases the height, which flies you forward etc. If you have any questions lmk bro! good luck!

Awesome video. I ended up buying all the Freewell filters. Barely any added weight for my Mini 3 Pro. I was recently told not to take my drone to Turkey because it would be taken by customs or the cops. Is that true? We have Turkish Air coming to Vancouver now so I’d love to see Refika’s city. You will have no problems in customs if your drone is below 500gr. I'm Turkish. You don't need a pilots license or a drone registration document if it's below 500gr and if you're not flying for commercial purposes.

Steven! Flying with seagulls is very easy. You just need to come prepared. What I do is pack my fully automatic machine gun and hundreds of rounds. Before a drone flight I simple point at the sky and unleash a never ending fury. I do not actually hit any birds and I make sure all bullets fall safely into the nearby sea. After that point the skies are clear and you have about 15 minutes before police arrive.
