I bought my first Mini 3 Pro at the same time in September of 2022. That is when I passed my part 107 and started my drone service business. I then bought my second Mini 3 Pro around Thanksgiving that same year. I crashed my first one on a shoot, sent it in to DJI care refresh, and got a new one 8 days later. I learned my lesson that if I was going to take this seriously, I needed a backup drone. I toyed with the idea of getting an Air 2s or maybe going with the less expensive Mini 2, but then I would have to invest in a second set of batteries and accessories. So I decided on a second Mini 3 Pro, then three weeks later, in December, the Mini 3 was released. Had I waited, I probably would have gotten that instead, but there was a black friday sale. I love both my Mini 3 Pros. It's been handy having a backup incase my first has a hiccup, or maybe a damaged prop. I just grab the other one without having to take the time to mess with those tiny screws you talked about while on the job. I also use Dronelink for mapping missions and way points. I mapped 400 acres of farm land for one job. That's the one advantage the Mini 3 series has over the newer Mini 4 Pro is the released SDK. Sure there might be a work around exploiting integrated waypoint missions, its just way faster and easier with Dronelink and having that SDK released by DJI. I don't plan on upgrading either one of them to the Mini 4 until, or even if, DJI releases and SDK for the Mini 4.

Thanks for sharing. Rocco, I followed you when I had my Autel Evo and learned a lot from you. Also, I have had my Mini 3 Pro for almost 2 years and a lot of what you are saying is correct. In all, I think it is a good drone overall and worth having. Finally, I agree that getting the Mini 4 Pro would be a better choice overall. Thanks again.

Thank you! It's good to hear from you! The Air 2 is still phenomenal in 2024!

Maybe it's the low light of the room, but your pupils are so large I'd swear you're high as a kite... Also in terms of controller battery life I think you've just got a dud. I've been flying with the same RC for 2.5 years now and I still get 4 flights with plus batteries before I consider charging it up.

I've had a mini 2 for nearly 2 years, flown for around 25 hours. Just wondering what the life span might be before something major fails. I tend to fly over rugged areas so, if it fails while on a long flight, recovery may be impossible.

I'm confused as to what you're saying. This video has nothing to do with the Osmo 3...
