@chriscflint Жыл бұрын
Yes for sure it would work on any of the DJI drones that can be controlled by the RC PRO, the RC with screen that comes with the MINI and the Mavic 3 do not have HDMI out so cannot be used in this way. But DJI has now made the GOGGLES 2 compatible with these drones and you will need the hand held "Stick" type controller. My advise is to buy the Goggles 2 or Integra and you will be good to go.

one other question, Christopher, with this set up is it only 4K 60 - because you've still got the screen on the rc active, can you change/override the settings on the aircraft (I have the mavic 3 classic) to shoot in 5.1K/50 at all? I am based in the UK and 50 is the norm. thanks in advance. thanks
@chriscflint Жыл бұрын
The RC-PRO is fully in control of the aircraft so you can change anything you want or need to. The resolution of the RC-PRO is not of any issue as it is outputting an HDMI Digital signal via the HDMI Mini port and what it receives it will output. For example if you have the HDMI cable and feed it into a Laptop the picture on the Laptop will be what ever the screen can show i.e. 1080P which is what most laptops have. Once the Digital signal is received by the HDMI2AV it converts it to low res Analogue and that signal then goes to your gogglesvai the 1/8" jack. It is like an old TV signal, clean enough but not great like a Digital system that is impressive in detail. 50Hz is the same here in Australia. Nice machine the Mavic 3 Classic, I would love one.

I'm looking to find a way to use my goggles v2 with a Mavic 3T via the rc pro. Will this method work for this? Are there any wireless transmission options?
@chriscflint2 ай бұрын
Hi Clint, when you say Mavic 3 I would have thought that the goggles would work with it directly, maybe the Goggles 2 and 3. However the RC PRO puts out a video signal from the MINI HDMI port and all you should need is a Mini HDMI male to a male USB C. But sorry I do not have any Goggles V2 to test this with.

If you mean on the AIR UNIT or the 03 AIR UNIT, no possibility at this time as the Goggles (all of them at this time) do not have an HDMI output. THis only will work with the Mavic type units that are supported by the RC PRO controller.

The old DJI Phantom 3 Pro changing the module behind the Remote Control you get HDMI mini connector and I can fly with Fat Shark goggles (Used for my Racer drones and FPV planes) only I connect the cable directly to the HDMI input of the Fat Shark Goggles . The old DJI Inspire 1 already comes from the factory with the connector and it is very interesting, because when flying only seeing the mobile iPhone in hot areas and with a lot of sun, the mobile iPhone screen completely darkens and you have to return the Drone RTH, with goggles and allows you to return without problems. The question NOBODY HAS ANSWERED ME is...Will it be possible to get the signal from this Pro Remote Control in the same way without using RCA cables? THXS

Take a look at this site as he seems to have got is sorted (read his comments int he below the video) by returning it to DJI. I cannot personally be botherd at this time and will investigate this further with DJI.

@@Allex-USA HiAlex, I have just retested the system and this time with my AIR 2S (last time Mini 3 PRO) and it worked immediately. So lets re go over what you need to do. 1. You need the RC PRO and og into the TRANSMISSION Screen (after SAFETY and. CAMERA) scroll down to get to HDIM Outut, select Screen Mirroring. 2.Switch on the Drone 3. Plug the MINI HDMI plug into the RC PRO. 4. Plug the BIG HDMI plug into the HDMI port in the HDMI2AV upscaler. (it is critical that the unit you have is HDMI2AV not the other way around. 5. Plug the 3 RCA (Plug cable to 4 output 1/8 mini plug) Yellow, RED and WHITE (you dont need Red and White but plug them in anyway). 6. THe 1/8the 4 output male plugs into the small plug input on either V1 or V2 goggles, this input is next to the Power input. 7. power on the goggles with a battery. 8. Open the Menu in the Goggles and go to Settings. Open settings and go to AV-IN click this so it is on. Your system should be working properly. I do not know if the new Goggles 2 have an AV input so cannot comment on them or wheter they may or may not work. THe drone is irrelevalnt isn that the RC PRO operates and communicates to Mini, AIR2S and all of the Mavic 3 units. Trust this assists

Hi Lodewijk, the feed from the RC Pro is excellent as the screen is 1920 x 1080. The output is via an HDMI Mini port so I presume the output is still 1080, the only reason it is degraded in this video is due to the conversion from Digital to Analogue via the HDMI2AV which is probably 540 resolution. The latency I believe is also due to the conversion. So yes I am sure you will get the 1080 resolution feed to a recorder or a PC as long as there is no analogue converters involved.

@chriscflint2 жыл бұрын
Hi robb30, at this stage, no, I have not been able to get any feed from the USB C on the RC PRO nor the new RC controller that comes with the Mini 3 PRO to the V1 or V2 goggles. The RC PRO will feed from the HDMI to a lap top but nothing from the USB C port. Still working on trying to fix that as the V1 and V2 goggles do not have HDMI input. I have tried using a micro HDMI from the RC PRO via an OTG cable to USB C but I get nothing in the goggles. I guess DJI just need to turn on the USB C port in the goggles to make it a 2 way port.

Hi robb30, short answer is no, the USB port on both V1and V2 do not output any video. And even the new Goggles 2 do not have an HDMI port, BUT they are wireless and the specification claims "streaming" so perhaps they may work now but that I cannot confim.

⚠️ GOGGLES QUESTION - How good is the video quality in the goggles ? We had tried this with our Mavic-3 / RC-Pro / DJI Goggles V.2, using several Amazon “no-name Chinesium” type AV converter. The quality was very poor compared to that of it’s normally excellent quality when using directly with the DJI- FPV or Avata. We ended up purchasing a few pairs of the Orqa FPV One Pilot model goggles. They have an HDMI input feature which works very well in conjunction with the RC-Pro controller. (video + audio signal goes from Mavic-3 ((or any other HDMI in goggles)) to the RC-Pro and from the controller to the Orqa goggles via an “ultra thin & flexible” HDMI cable) We also purchased a pair of HD-Zero goggles. They are VERY impressive, btw… When connected as the above Orqa goggles, they work great as well, but there is a slight issue with “choppy”. It’s difficult to describe, but it’s almost like the goggles cannot keep up with the incoming signal…?? (possibly signs of some sort of “latency”?. I have never flown analog FPV, so I’m not too familiar with the terms and issues) I forgot to include the fact that we are making use of this gear for fire department / rescue squad operations. The goggles give everyone the ability to see very clear images of the drone camera video feed without distractions and/or sunlight from interfering with the video. The use of goggles is also an excellent tool when an unidentified HazMat (hazardous materials) is the type of emergency response scenario at play. Our primary use for goggles is to enable the pilot, observer(s) and incident command. We have added equipment to our primary DJI Mavic-3 drone kit. We go from the RC-Pro to an 8-port HDMI splitter/distribution device near the pilot. The splitter unit feeds video and audio to the following : Pilot 1+2 / observers 1+2 / Desview 17” portable monitor in Pelican type case / AccSoon Cine-Eye2 wireless transmission system for local viewing with mobile device / Radionics HDMI 900mhz encrypted wireless link to receiver located remotely. On the remote receiver side (up to approx 2000’ away), we have a Radionics 900Mhz receiver with crypto key, the same type of portable monitor, a pair of Orqa HDMI in goggles, an additional AccSoon Cine-Eye2 transmitter, an optional 48” monitor mounted on the insidewall of our heavy rescue vehicle . It also gives us a few extra HDMI ports to use for additional gear. We also have provided a video feed from the splitter/distribution unit on this side - to a local news broadcaster during a training drill and demonstration. Btw: The AccSoon Cine-Eye2 and Desview/BestView SP17 monitor are both EXCELLENT devices !! I have the AccSoon Cine-Eye2 and carry an Apple iPad with me while I am flying. The iPad runs the free AccSoon app that permits viewing of the video/audio signal on a mobile device (Apple iOS or Android). I’m also buying one of the Desview/BestView SP17 portable director monitor to use as well. The logic of carrying a monitor and/or iPad ?? To do what Ken Heron always advises : “To take an observer on a ride with you”, to permit viewing by family/friends AND showing your video signal usually placates most “Karens”. LOL
@chriscflint Жыл бұрын
Thank you for a very informative response. You are correct when saying that the signal from teh RC PRO via the HDMI2AV is of poor quality, however as a person that has analogue drones as well it is a little better than analogue and I would never recommend analogue for what you are doing. I believe that the new DJI goggles Integra 2 now can take the feed directly from the drone (in the case of the Mini 3 PRO). This I believe would be a better option for the pilot and still use the HDMI out on the RC PRO for other viewers as I am sure there would be a little latency going via the ORCA as there may be some conversion being done in the ORCA units. Un fortunately I do not have the budget to test this. The person that could probably answer all these for you is MADS TECH and here is his link. www.youtube.com/@MadRC/videos I am impressed by the way you are doing your job as first defenders, thanks for that as well.
