If you're using it all the time yeah the upgrades are enough to warrant buying it - The Log is a nice touch and quality is noticeable.

Waypoints just makes it worth it for me. If you want to make a video of a large area seamlessly and smoothly it’s perfect. I had the Mini 2 SE I bought in the Philippines on a whim. Liked it so much I bought the Mini 4 Pro when I got back to the UK a month later.

Awesome video thank you, I don’t own a drone but have been looking for a couple of months, and been looking at this but you referenced the mini 3 so checked out your video on that and now I don’t know which way to go haha, I can get the mini 3 with fly more kit in the UK approx £450 cheaper than the mini 4 pro? I’m a complete beginner so no idea where to go 🤷🏻🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

I'm also deciding between the two. The Mini 3 Fly More Combo is $695 CAD and the Mini 4 Pro Fly more Combo is $1429 CAD from BestBuy. I'm leaning more towards the Mini 3 since I just need a drone that will let me add simple areal shots to videos I will capture with my iPhone 15 Pro Max whenever I travel. It's hard for me to justify paying double but I also don't want to regret not buying the better drone if I would just eventually want to upgrade to the Mini 4 Pro 😭

@@flipincan well I have purchased a refurbished mini 4 pro from a retailer on eBay, it’s pristine condition, I was tracking the mini 3 and the price was going up slightly so I assumed was coming into a sale but it never did, so bit the bullet on a refurbished one, it’s come with a 12 month warranty and DJI will allow the care package still with it 👍🏻

Honestly.. the dlog M and waypoints are worth it. I jabe a M4pro... It's a serious piece of equipment. If you just need decent visuals... Get mini 3.

be careful in provincial or city parks, your map will tell you restricted areas but if it's for personal and non-commercial use you should be good yeah.

The only 2 reasons to get this drone are for the active track and waypoint features. If you're just gonna fly it manually, then you should obviously just get one of the cheaper drones.

true but the biggest reason for me is that it shoots LOG and the mini 2se and 4k and mini 3 don't and I can't find the mini 3 pro for sale

The only reason I would buy the 4 pro over the 3 pro would be so I could use the remote for my Neo. Don't understand why DJI can't just stay with one or two remotes for there mini series......

Thanks for your review! I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on this one it would be my first drone! I like the features because I like to go off roading and having it follow me with obstacle avoidance is a major plus. Not a huge fan of the price but I get that employee discount through my job that saves me quite a lot.

yeah and after the 6 and the 7. there is always a next one in this consumer world we created. look for what you need! because at the end of the day that's all that matters.. future stuff is fine! but if you don't need it right now it means you don't need it :) if you mis stuff on the current model.. then wait and see if the next models has what you are looking for. there is always gonna be a new and better one.. don't fall for the fomo

Bros making worth it videos on the mini 4 pro in 2024 meanwhile just got the mini 2 se last month and already lost it in the middle of a lake never to be seen ever agian. Now if I spent close to a $1000 or more would of been even more pissed. Atleast the mini 2 se is less then half the price then the 4 pro so went a bought a brand new one the next day. This time got dji care refresh unlike the first one. If I crashed anything more expensive never would be getting a new one for a long time.

Yeah my verdict is much the same point you make here. It’s not for everyone, DJI makes too many good cheap drones that are perfectly fine for most people :) sorry to hear about your drone in the bottom of the lake!!!!
