Just had mine flying today in 25-30 kts with gust up to 40kts and she obviously flopped around in the wind a little but the video was pretty solid. This will handle more wind than most would think. After today my confidence in this drone increased a whole bunch. Super easy and smooth to fly don’t hesitate to buy this just Because of the size

I'm considering buying the Mini 4 Pro, it will be my first drone ever. Your review was awesome and nailed the real strengths of this compact overachieving drone. I was always a fan of the mini lineups but the other models just didn't have what I needed. As a beginner, obstacle avoidance was a core feature I wanted and to finally have full 360 degree sensors, this is the first time the mini line has ticked all the boxes for me. As I am in Canada, the 249g is a must for me because I don't want to have to get a drone pilot license, I just wanna take it out and capture some amazing footage and pictures within legal operation. I think I've waited long enough and they have finally reached the point where they meet and exceed all my expectations.

I have one…just bought it a month ago. I’ve only had one afternoon flying with it because the weather hasn’t been working out. I will say that the one afternoon that I flew it, I was incredibly impressed. It was so easy to fly it was ridiculous! Also the footage was drop dead beautiful. This is a tremendous drone. I also bought the DJI Avata 2 package with goggles and motion controller. I haven’t flown with any of that kit yet but look forward to it. I know it will be a lot of fun as well. Peace!

Love this video and the energy you bring to the table for this product! For people that are looking to buy or have already purchased and just looking for reassurance, this is the video for you! Lots of great information for beginners and even those that have owned a drone before. I also agree when it comes to DJI you aren't just paying for the brand name, like Nike. DJI is one brand that never ceases to amaze me. They go above and beyond with their product control, quality control, and combo kits. Yes the price of these drones are high but I have never felt I wasn't getting my moneys worth when it comes to any DJI Drone. I started with the mini 4k and have waited for a product like this one here. Mine will be here tomorrow!

I'm still trying to figure out why people keep talking about this not being a PROFESSIONAL drone because of its size. What does the size of the drone has to do with its capabilities?
@mccullummediaАй бұрын
It basically comes down to the camera and stability, when it comes to professional work you need a camera that can do it all and be controlled by multiple people, like the inspire. I have the mini 4 pro and use it for real estate work and free lance stuff, but if a company every approached me and wanted say a basic commercial with a big budget, the mini would not cut it. You need full D-Log control, higher fps, higher bitrate, bigger sensor, etc. Drone stability and speed are a big factor to, it needs to be able to keep up and be stable in high winds.

Agree with everything you said about this little drone which I own, except one thing.... the batteries never last anywhere close to 30 minutes. I mean maybe if you just took off and let it hover for 30 minutes without moving it. But if your fly it around at all your actual battery life is about 15-20 minutes maximum. I ended up buying six batteries for this little guy so I could go out and fly it for about 90 minutes at a time. The battery will not last more than 15-20 minutes if you're moving around. Otherwise super, super impressed with it.
@Watzac11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback dude! Damn, my batteries are doing super well, I believe DJI has 2 types of batteries for this drone that I wasn't aware of. I could be wrong but one is heavier and will last longer while the other one is lighter, will last less time but keeps you under 249 grams...

I just picked up the Mini 4 Pro fly more drone today. I haven't flown it yet. I will have to confirm all of the wind issues by testing its stability. I purchased ND filters, landing legs. I own 2 other drones the Air 2S and the Zoom both I love and needed a super light weight one I that's easy to pack and travel overseas. I'll come back and report about the wind issue. I'm going to go out on a limb and say stabilization have to do with the motors that are being used in propeller blades. I'm sure the Mini 4 is using smaller blades and motor. It's not fair to expect the drone to hold his own in strong winds DUH...

I got the Plus batteries, so it was 270g. That meant I had to get the Remote ID (from Holystone because it was cheap), so I also added a landing leg harness to mount RID under, night strobes(red, green, and white), and a gopro mount. Kitted out it's about 400g, I still get 35 minutes flight time AND I no longer have "wind issues" up to 15 mph with 20 mpg gusts. For me that was counter intuitive, I expected the added weight to worsen the flight characteristics. The only thing I can figure is torque is much higher than needed and added weight means wind effects it less.

The only gripe for me is that with just a little wind the quad shakes all over the place even though the gimble corrects for it. Im wondering whether something is wrong with mine or does everyone experience this. I listened carefully as you talked about the wind stability of the Mini 4 and for some reason feel you held back a bit about this being a downside of the drone. Am I correct in saying that the size of the drone and its stability in even mild wind conditions is problematic. My Mini 3 does not behave this way. Its way more rock solid in the wind. Im trying to determine if I need to send my mini 4 back for DJI to have a look-see at it. Thanks for your review I totally agree with everything else you brought forth regarding the abilities of this drone though but its wind performace scares me a lot. Really wish I could find someone else with one near me so that i could compare performance.
