I love my A7CR, brother to the Cii. I use the 40mm f2.5 more on the street and the 20 or 24mm when indoors. The new Sony compact FF cameras really changed the way I use cameras. No more big and heavy cameras with big and heavy lenses that stick out like a sore thumb, but the nearly invisible and touristy size makes it so much fun. People are not going to take notice. And it's fun to actually talk to the people about what you are doing with that small camera. Making them feel comfortable is an absolute. If you can drag a gorgeous girl with you, that can make a lot of difference.

according to google, 12mp is 4000X3000 resolution so over 4K resolution on a 4K monitor, and that is landscape, if you shot in portrait you are cramming more pixels in less space most phones are around 1080 resolution so if you are just viewing the photos on a phone you could have a significant crop and it would still have enough resolution.

ALL cameras without fans are USELESS on summer temperatures with 25+ degrees, I have an r8 , it is a good camera but for arctic countries :D

The R5 C is not the correct Canon camera for you, it’s the Canon R6 M2. You would’ve loved it. Nevertheless camera brands will not help you become better storyteller. Create with whatever you like.
