DJI Neo drone first flight and Karaikudi Biryani and Naan - Something for everyone in this video!

What a super fun Sunday we had! The day kicked off with an exciting test flight of the brand new DJI Neo drone at Gurney Bay Skatepark. This incredible mini drone, which just arrived in the mail the day before, has awesome features like autonomous flight, video recording, and the ability to connect with controllers, the DJI Fly app, and even offers FPV flying! We took it for a spin and captured some amazing footage-check it out in the video!
After an active morning of skating and filming, we worked up quite an appetite, and I was craving a good biryani! So, we headed over to Little India in George Town, Penang, to one of my all-time favorite Indian restaurants, Karaikudi Restaurant. I’ve been going there for years, and it never disappoints!
The kids enjoyed naan bread and butter chicken with delicious mango lassi and refreshing lime juice, while I indulged in the mutton biryani lunch set. The biryani came with a variety of sides, including curries, rice, pappadom, chutneys, and curd-so satisfying and flavorful!

I tried the drone again today, it was more windy. The little fella struggled a bit in the wind. I will have to test it out a bit more to see how well it can really perform. Fun things to do!

Hi! How much is that dji drone? It's my wish list! but too expensive for my budget.. the first model many years ago nearly cost rm6k!! more than a motorbike..😢

Oh it cost me RM769 after discounts. Quite affordable. It depends on what you want to do with it. You can also get a DJI Mini 3 for around RM2K nowadays which is a more "proper" drone if you are interested.

I got it from the Official DJI Store on Lazada on Friday during the launch, I just checked it is out of stock already now! The offer price is RM764 I believe. You can Add to your wishlist in Lazada, or you can try going to a DJI Store near you, but I think there is no stock there either. No harm calling up before going.

At the moment no license needed for Malaysia, you can't fly drones in places such as near airports etc.

Well it rained heavily yesterday, the place is generally still quite clean. Will be a few years until the trees grow up and look like a proper park.

What's the noise level of the drone? Any breakthrough in making it silent?

It is not silent, I think the noise levels is like 70-80dB if I remember correctly. Not as loud as the bigger drones but definitely not quiet. The good thing is if you record your voice over the DJI Fly app, it cancels the sound of the motors.
