I agree for the larger drones where you have space in a hard case to leave them on. With the smaller drones like the Mini series and the Neo we try to find the most compact case available to keep them portable and because they're thinner you'll need to pop off the sticks. So that will only fit the RCN3 controller and not the RC2?

Very nice product. I fly my NEO with the RC-2 controller. Will that controller fit in the case?

Thanks for the post and this case is designed for the RC-N3 controller. The RC-2 is slightly longer and won't fit into the case because of the foam cutouts. We are testing other cases so stay tuned for more reviews on the channel. Rick

Lol, well I do both and like having a case to protect and organize my gear. This one is small enough that I can slide it into my backpack along with my other gear to keep things from banging around. Thanks for the post. Rick

@@Dronevalley No you wrap it in a shirt and put it on top in your bag. Or in a handlebar bag. If you want to cover any distance you won't have time to get the carrying case out, open it, put the case back again, launch the drone, walk or ride half a mile, bring the drone in, open the bag, get the case out......

@@driewiel I'll have to rethink this a little. The Neo is the first really small drone that DJI has released and it's being used for things that other drones can't handle. I like the organization that a case provides but also understand that you're trying to minimize the gear that you're trotting along on a bike, especially off-road so that makes sense. For me, most of my flying starts after I've driven somewhere or walked into the woods a little and I like to have a case to protect the drone and ensure I have everything I need for the flight.

@@Dronevalley I, as most others, want video of myself riding my bike. But if it takes too long I don't bother and just move on. That is why the Neo and HoverAir are so popular. No mess with the phone and wait for satellites. Ask people cycling around the world. Nobody uses DJI's active-track. They all fly their drone with the sticks. The shots are better, and it is much quicker. Of course we're not complaining the Neo and HoverAir can relatively safe follow you from behind. But I would like a really small controller for both optical flow mode and GPS. I care less about kilometers range. Who needs that? Even better would be a split controller left/right on your handlebar. Also a drone without GPS follow-me is a crippled product. Hopefully Litchi or Maven will work with the Neo soon. You see, drone designer are all locked up in a lab. They don't have real life experience. If they would go an bike tours they would understand what works and what doesn't. In fact a cheap optical flow drone with good camera and practical controller could be a great hiker/biker drone. The faster you can get it in the air, the more footage you will have. I'm talking 10 20 times a day. It's a nice interesting spot, grab the drone, 3 seconds, click click, put the drone in the bag again.
