3:40 Exactly. I wish they'd put this algorithm into their other models in a future update. My Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3 Pro are bulls in a china shop compared to this $200 Neo. It is absolutely outstanding. Neo is most fun I've had with a drone since my first Phantom over 10 years ago.

Yep. Who knew the answer to good tracking g and not hitting stuff was to firstly: Get rid of all that obstacle avoidance crap, lol. Second, closely follow the subject, don't cut corners. Hover Air got there first. Watching 👀 people trying to crash it and failing. Drone says: "THEY, if you don't bonk your head on stuff, I won't either... deal? Deal!

Love our NEO, its amazing for us just taking it out on whatever spot we visit and do quick flights. Video quality is not great, but its not the worst either. its a 200 dollar drone. It's fine. And once Neo2 comes out next year I likely buy that as well ;)

It’s so freakin close! I am very impressed with how far this tech has come in a short time. Just a bit more tweaking and a very capable follow drone will be available.

We can't complain too much for this tiny drone at its price point, just hope that DJI will have Neo Plus version soon that can follow at higher speed with better video quality.

The crash pretty sure because of the sun. When its too bright Neo kinda suffer to track the subject. But Neo does so well to the rest of your footage 😊😊 I had this drone for almost a month now and I didnt test it for biking yet im more on aerial recording for now 😊😊

Its awesome timing if the Hover Pro line can get the speeds you seek and not fail from less sophisticated tracking... it will be a great opportunity for DJI to come back aroubd and smack down that expensive kit. And the WILL come around. If theres one thi g DJI absolutely HATES from competitors, it's... uh, competition 😳. Good things ahead next year!

Our club would like to record private recreational club pickleball matches with a drone autonomously. Do you recommend using the DJI NEO or flip? If so, how would you set up the drone?

@@RunBikeMike i've been using an iphone 15 to film these clips. how does the drone's camera compare to that. These clips are educational in that the person being filmed has the chance to see and improve their play.

15 will have better quality than the neo but the flip you might not be able to tell the difference.

Just be aware that the Neo is capable of official 16 m/s in FPV manual mode or 57kph, with one KZbinr managing to get it to hit 70kph. Just an update to increase its follow speed is probably quite easy. But I bet DJI kept that speed so that the camera was able to see obstacles, any faster and for sure a lot more impacts. I have already seen the new X1 pro hitting trees so faster is not always better in places like you were biking in. I am sure DJI can add the option for open spaces for faster runs but keep the lower speed for riding through trees or other obstacles.

I agree , for instance i do road biking videos in my channel and at least 30-35kph would be very nice for my scenarios. This can be an option with user risk to agree when selecting this option.

You’ve helped me a lot in deciding NOT to buy it. Until they improve the tracking speed, it’s unsuitable for MTB. It’s great for beginners and for hiking, etc.

They did improve it so you might give it a go now. But for image quality the Hover Air Pro and pro max is better but also a lot more money

LOL x1 IS not 4k & IS LAST YEAR MODEL & feathers wrong comparison ..I bought X1 PROMAX just released & gonna come to me in next 2 weeks would swallow & spit this strip down 4K Drone out 10 times more ...ya is more money, But if the feathers & quality of ProMax U Getting was in this Neo would be over $1000 EASY with what we getting with ProMax is Bargen even in combo pack such as i bought👌 just the suggestion for this NEO ..If u want buy this brand , just wait maybe next year for PRO model but would be alot more money i am sure, thats why PROMAX is the way to go ..this is crappy slow & crashes alot with no f*n feathers👎
