the NEO is an amazing deal at 200 bucks. ordered the 3 goggles and the new single hand controller for my son to do run fpv.

I found it pretty much useless other than for selfies at the top. As soon as I set off it struggles to keep up and I'm on quite technical stuff going nowhere near 15mph. It also buzzed a couple of people fixing a puncture pretty bad and they weren't happy. I might try some clothes with a bit more contrast/colour before I give up on it completely.

It's not for fast, technical descents for sure. Nothing really works there, even my $1000 DJI Mini 4 pro. But it's great for everything else. And with compatible DJI remotes, the range, speed and FPV capabilities are sooooo good.

This is basically a Hover Air x1 knock-off, which has been out for several years

It's in the same category as the Hover Air X1 that came out 9 months ago. This one though is $200 instead of $400. And this has better quality and durability. The real key though is this work with DJI display remotes and the speed doubles and the range increases to several miles. And it is compatible with DJI FPV controllers and the speed increase way more and it becomes a full FPV drone.

Today's news...U.S. Department of Defense listed DJI as a "Chinese military company". And U.S. Customs began blocking DJI drones coming into the US; so, the fate of DJI as both a drone and e-bike parent company is definitely questionable in the US at this time. Seems that DJI is going the way of TikTok.
