All shot using the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro mounted to the Avata 2. A chill flight in manual mode with no flips or rolls. The Avata 2 isn't designed to take the weight of an external camera and doesn't need to. This was purely for testing, until I get a new freestyle drone.

@@SunriseWaterMedia Cheers Kris! 🙏 My A2 won’t let me fly with an action cam anymore after this. It really doesn’t like it, which confuses me as I’ve seen others fly it with one. 😅. I was successful twice only. Then, wobble wobble!

@@LowryDroneography-Steve Interesting. I haven't tried mounting an action cam on our A2. If you recorded on your A2, I'd be curious to see a side by side comparison with the Action 5. We haven't bought the Action 5 yet.

@@SunriseWaterMedia It’s weird. So the very first time I attached it, I made the mistake of hovering it in GPS mode to see if it could handle it. It couldn’t, but then a did a flight in manual and it was ok. The 2nd time I tried was on the evening of this video. First flight, yep that was ok. Other flight attempts, not ok - landed abruptly due to wobble and struggling motor noise. Tried again the other day 2 or 3 times, didn’t like it one bit. However, it flies great still without the camera mounted. All my attempts have been taking off in manual mode, aside from the very first hover test. Yeah I should have really kept the A2’s recording for that. I’ll look, but if I do have it, I think I went full auto settings because of having the Action 5 attached. I can tell you right off the bat, that it does handle highlights pretty damn well, possibly better than the A2 camera. It’s close and I like them both. It just seems like the sky and sun contain more information in this clip than if it was the A2 trying to expose for sky and ground. I’ve flown there in sunsets before.
