I just bought it recently and the gray foam part must of fell off , the gray foam that touches the bottom of the phone when it’s on the Osmo , is that a problem ? If so how do I fix it ?

Does the new one still support the same payload of 220 grams ? And did you notice any step back in quality, function and performance other than the plastic? Could you also explain to me why you think a gopro + adapter would not work on the Osmo. I mean I know you can't launch an app from the gopro and you don't get to control the shutter etc. but a gimbal in the end is there to stabilize your footage, right? I bought the Osmo Mobile 1. Gen. a week ago, I am trying to figure out if I should keep it or get the 2. Gen. I would really appreciate your answers. Thanks a lot

I have been looking at a Smooth Q for a while for my gopro and now this which looks better. However you made a valid point no need to pay extra for Bluetooth features and apps which wont work with a gopro. So can you (or commentators) advise a 3 axis gimbal for a gopro at this price point or below?

Do you have to fit your smartphone dead central in the gimbal before using it ? My phone (Nokia 7+) has the on/off button almost exactly half way down the side, meaning the gimbal clamp would interfere with it. Is there any solution to this problem ? Now I know why iPhones are so popular with vloggers.

You forgot to mention that the TRIGGER is GONE. So how do you do the locked angle pan shot (like a slider)? The trigger before allowed you to hold (lock angle), double tap (reset angle) or triple tap (selfie cam).

I think you just tap once and it locks. you don´t have to hold it down. this is good because now you can actually conect the osmo to a monopod or somo longer pole to do jib shots. I notice that many gimal shots have a bouncy effect...i know what this is due too and it looks horrible having posts and trees bounce up and down. Maybe the phone is not balanced correctly. I have a Samsung s7Edge and straight out of the phone with it´s built in stabilizer and correctly walking ..i do not even need an osmo. There is almost no bouncing. When I add my osmo mobile, it is buttery smooth. I think I have a reason why my shots are very smooth and I have not not heard anyone mention this...I think it is all about the shoe you wear. Many osmo shots are shot on vacations and i am willing to bet that many wear flip flops or sandals...those hawaiian, caribbean, exotic islands videos are relaxed shooting. I use running shoes and step with my heel ....that extra rubber in the heel is a great shock absorber. I can walk normal without doing the famous " ninja walk" If I do the ninja walk, it comes out even better. So if you want smooth shots...wear good running shoes and don´t care if you look like a clown doing the ninja walk. The final product is what will be important and great looking. Just my 2 cents. I've had reasonable lav success with the Rode SmartLav+ with it. Just ensure to give the cable a bit of slack, and it seems to work (on my iPhone).

What did you use to record the screen of your iPhone while you were filming this. I was thinking it might have been AirPlay Mirroring, but there's no blue bar over the time. Or did you do that and crop the video? I'm really curious. As someone else already mentioned, you went into a ton of detail. I've got one on order right now, and I can't wait to get it.
