the problem might be with my tablet, but i get about 5 minutes of flying my P3 then i start getting about 1 frame every 10 seconds.....idk what the problem is.

+Simon Newton One thing. I've heard a lot of the Phantom 3 Pro and Advanced can suffer with cracks on the outer plastic motor areas on the airframe. Have you experienced this Simon? Is it a known problem with a possible fix from DJI? Cheers

Another very helpful video. The app now has a Yaw Endpoint setting. Am I correct in assuming that controls how responsive the drone is to spinning? I was curious why they use the term "endpoint" versus just saying "Yaw." Your videos are very helpful and the field testing really brings the point home!!

Hi Simon,Does the attitude adjustment just affect pitch and roll or does it also affect yaw and throttle? It seems confusing to me that they use the term attitude because in general aviation that usually refers to the orientation of the aircraft with regard to the horizon. I love the fact that you field test these ideas, which makes it so much easier to understand.

Thanks for the tips Simon, just adjusted mine now and found a happy medium. Have you experienced any VPS issue's on 1.2.6 Also have you noticed in the ios pilot app 1.2.0 that custom transmission setting is now greyed out? Anyway thanks again, keep up the good work!

I'm pretty sure the Phantom uses GPS to determine altitude. The GPS receiver module requires 3 GPS satellites for latitude/longitude and an additional 4th satellite for altitude. Accelerometers are often inaccurate for determining distance, since they only measure the change in g-force/sec. Distance can only be estimated with an accelerometer by doing a bit of math with acceleration over time. The problem is that inaccuracy of those measurements accumulate over time and the overall estimation of the distance traveled is not very useful. I don't have a phantom, but I would suggest making sure the drone is communicating with at least 4 GPS satellites.

the factory settings for braking are too harsh. That is what is causing the stress cracking issue on the phantoms. loosen the motor mount screws about a 1/16th of a turn, slow down the braking setting a little and the stress cracks stop forming!! I did this on two of my drones after cracks formed on one motor mount area and it hasn't happened to anything else after that. if your concerned about the motor mount screws getting loose because of vibration simply pit a tiny drop of gorilla glue on one edge of the mounting screw so it contacts the drone shell and screw head. IT WILL NOT LOOSEN UP AT ALL!!! Putting reinforcing plates on will void your factory warranty immediately and they are more weight witch results in shorter battery life per flight.
