yeah, I actually read about that on the phantom forums, which is why I was hoping to find a walk through video such as yours, just to be on the save side. Having rooted a number of Android phones over the years, I know from experience that oftentimes a simple reboot after a firmware update, will clear up most issues. Your video was a little incomplete in that while mine said the firmware was updated, it really wasn't. Similar to how your first device lost connection, my S7 Edge did the same. But once I powered off both the controller and the quad, I unplugged my phone from the quad and plugged it back into the controller and I was then able to finish the update for the controller. I then rebooted everything again, and it was all updated. I then went in linked my RC and was good to go. I actually just saw your video for your replacement P4P......(I probably should have watched that one first) lol, but I figure it out so it's all good. Thanks again. I really appreciate your informative videos! I hope your replacement is treating you well!

You need to go work for DJI.. This is THE best video I have seen on how to do the firmware. Could you add one on how to do battery updates using the charging hub ? Keep'em coming.

Great video I just purchase my Phantom 4 Pro. I got the Go DJI app on my Iphoe 6 Plus I was able to firmware up date to the Bird but no up date to the remote. It dose not ask for one. I do see out of the camera from my phone. So I believe it must be good. I have not flown it yet I going to watch more video on the app get to know it a little more before flying first time done owner. Thanks for your video you did a great job of showing what to do. I also purchased a Nividia tablet its comping in the mail. Tuesday I get it and install it I just have a 6 plus to start. Need to learn a lot I didn't know it was this much involved to fly drone, Andor.

An i-phone can access updates and firmware for the apps DJi Go 4. . Question?? With the new brighter screen on the PRO PLUS, does it connect to the DJi apps like the i-phone. . Or does the PRO PLUS need to use a sim SD card to update from a computer.

If the side that doesn't connect to your phone is a computer type usb plug, then it shoud work with adapter.

after hours of trying and sitting and watching it finally worked I took it out and the app crashed twice I wonder if I can use the original go app instead of 4.0

I have a problem, I got the new Phantom 4 pro the plus version with integrated screen and I see a lot of advertised features are missing inside. One of my favorite missing feature is shooting 1080p @ 120fps. When I check it tells me I have the latest firmware. Do you of this problem? Plz help

Can you tell me the current firmware you have. With the copter and remote powered on, go onto your tablet or phone that you are using and tap on video settings tab on lower right hand below camera shot button. Switch from camera to video at the top of the video menu screen, then select the video size tab. You should see 4k or 1080p settings, select the 1080p and you should see 24fps 30fps 48fps 60fps and 120fps.

I get to the part where it says prepare for the upgrade. I plug in the adapter cable and nothing changes. So frustrating There is never a button that says start the upgrade

Check out my Phantom 4 Pro Replacement video, it has a step by step tutorial. Are you using a phone or tablet? Make sure you have a data connection while downloading firmware. If that does not work, let me know.

Are you using the DJi Go 4 app? Try uninstalling the app and reinstall on your tablet, if that does not work, you may have to install the app onto another device and continue the update. I ended up using my Samsung phone to finish the update. After the update was finish the app work fine on my Galaxy Tab.

I have a Samsung Galaxy tab s2 9.7 and im haveing some issues ( dji go 4 ) doesn't let me log into my account. screen goes black and it goes back to the main menu. Do you have any ideas?

Uninstall app and then reinstall app onto sd card instead of on the device itself, that worked for me on my 7edge. We had the same issue. Dont know if you saw my best tablet video, i got fed up with app crashing and purchased both ipad 4 mini and Invidia Shiel K1.

If you have a samsung, first look for the app called My Files, click on that. Look for device storage and click on it. Look for Dji, click on that. On the upper right it will say more, click on that. It will say edit then boxes will appear on the left side of dji subfolders, click all folders and click move on upper right corner. Select external sd card. Make sure you have a fast sd card.

Another issue you may have a conflict, do you have the old and new dji app installed? Also try cleaning your tablet temp memory by going to smart manager and hit clean all. The app requires alot of processing resources for it to function properly. Make sure you dont have a bunch of programs running in the background.

That is a good tablet, just a little more glitches while flying, i also have that tablet. I mostly use my s7 curve

Samsung s2 tablet works fine then crashes then is fine for a while and crashes today I will be trying with my droid turbo 2 I don't use Apple products and really didn't know that this drone is more or less apple favored I know there working on the issues but I don't want to lose my drone in the meantime as I bought it to fly over the water boats and my hunting propertys won't always have line of sight so I need gps
