which program do you use for editing and on which file, which is better for 4k mp4 or other codec?

Final Cut Pro X and I use MOV cause I am working on Mac but I think there is no difference between mp4 or mov. Depending of the platform, mov for macs, mp4 for pcs

Yes, when it has to do with large areas of the same colour, blue skies, etc.
