You did use the pocket 2 on a bicycle. Have seen rare comments about the threshold to shut-save the gimbal. Is it possible to held the pocket 2 while the hands being on the handle bar? Or is the a normal road to shaky to even attach hands to the handle? Mounting on the bicycle seems then a no-go. Is there some chest-mount accessory?

I initially thought of this same issue (3:35), but all you have to do is put it in the other way... which I think is what DJI originally had in mind. If you look closely, the round yellow foam instert will then line up as a proper rest for the back of the gimbal. This takes care of accidentally hitting the power button. ;)

If you insert pocket 2 to the case from left to right, the power button will face inside. separately, it is easy for the inner part the case to scratch my gimbal and leave some white mark. Not sure if it is the same in your case.

Oh, I did notice some white mark on my gimbal....and now i get it after yoir comment... it is some kind of scratch from inside the case....🤦‍♀️ i thought about inserting pocket 2 the other way round but then lanyard goes to inside, which i dont particularly like...altho yes, i dont see much harm done that way either 🤣

Officially it's 5 complains. Hahahaha........ 1. You can put the camera the other way with the power button facing in! 2. I don't have any problem taking the bottom handle. You need to wiggle left n right. There is always a technique on how you take out. Product designers do not created something which is too hard for users handle. I would say the reason why some modes are not in 4K could be due to the processing power. Maybe the current MicroSD cards are not able to handle the load. Again, I am sure they have tried and tested. So far, after using for couple of weeks, I love Pocket 2. I believe this is one of the best compact video cam for holiday. I mean, seriously we aren't shooting Hollywood action movies or stunts. Size really matters and there are only so much you can squeeze so much tech into such small device. I am a professional videographer and photographer. As far as I know, videocams have come a very very long way. Pocket 2 is considered a fuss free with very little adjustments needed to execute a shot. Besides RODE wireless microphones that you use, Sabinetek Dual Mic is another wireless mic which is quite good. I use this as it's small, compact and superlight.

The quality mode compare to battery saver mode, is noise reduction. So it's useful when come to low light conditions.

To remove the handle, press the catch, then push the handle towards the main body as if to connect the two - this actually releases the catch and you can then separate the handle from the body quite easily. Zoom is digital so the available zoom ratios depend on how much of the sensor is already in use - with 1080p you've got more pixels of the sensor available to do a bigger zoom. It's just a matter of maths. The processor in the device can only handle so much. That's why some features are only available if the device has free resources at the set data rate.

Young.. my kitten feels secure, couldnt shake it off.. same with wide angle lens it wont fall out of the case. And the Do it all handle... very easy to remove! Maybe you have a dodgy Pocket 2? The only problem with mine was the gimbal head was dead😂

Have you noticed the battery getting very warm quickly? I used it on Battery Svare mode and it still got hot within 10 min of being on.

To fix the dead cat falling off just pinch the plastic prongs slightly to make them a tiny bit larger. That allows it to clip in properly and I can now hold the mic by the dead cat without it falling off. Why DJI didn't do something similar to Rode with the dead cat I have no idea. Agree 100% abouut the wide angle lens falling out. it does it all the time and the magnet is simply not strong enough. I have also had the phone adapters fall out of the case and that is also rather irritating when they fall somewhere hard to reach. Good video.

Zooming is done by cropping the image. This explains why you can only have half of zoom with double resolution.

I agree with most.... You have Pocket 2 the wrong way in the cover. Check out DJI's video, it is not the same way as pocket 1.... you might need to remove the yellow foam inside the cover. Also, did you try to remove the tripod mount... pretty challenging.... I suggest to use the tripod as a lever.... worked for me.... but be careful. Most of the complains are not software issues (the ones about the quality and fps and slow motion) these are hardware stuff, you need more advanced camera and more expensive one to shoot high resolution with high fps or slow motion.

Thanks for sharing your discovered cons of the pocket 2. I recognized some, but not all; 1) If you put your pocket in the case, place it with the on/off button down. Problem solved. ;-) 2) Zoom on the pocket is digital. So 4x with 4k video will be too much, and quality loss will ruin your footage... 3) I was surprised you had such good audio being cycling, wearing a mask and putting the mic that low! Some other cons I found; 1) 8x slow-motion is not possible via the Mimo app, works only without the phone attached directly on the pocket 2 2) there is a lot of barrel distortion when using the wide-angle lens. Try walking through doorways... 3) 64mp... sounds great! But do not expect to much because of the relative small sensor! But thanks again for your informative video's!

@@akhoyokezo8677 I think a good flagship phone (I use galaxy s10plus) will be fine for anyone starting a youtube channel. if you film indoor, just ensure you got some good lightsource (Even film at daytime by the window). If you are filming outdoor and want to use a camera other than your mobile phone, going for smaller options like pocket 2, gopro, or even sony zv series should be fine. honestly, i think starting with a phone is the best idea!

The zoom on this thing is digital, so it makes a perfect sense to have 2x zoom on 4K and 4x zoom on 2K. When you take your 4K video at 2x and then crop the middle 25%, you get 2K at 4x zoom. In other words, there simply aren't enough pixels to get 4K resolution at 4x zoom (in fact even at 2x there's some stretching).

I tested the live streaming function successfully. You need to add your stream key into the stream url in the mimo app. For example, if your stream URL is rtmp://a.rtmp.kzbin.info and your stream key is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx, then you need to put "rtmp://a.rtmp.kzbin.info/xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" into the mimo app. I've tested in this way sucessfully.

Hi Young360! I have encountered a problem (and have seen other people experience the same issue as posted in the DJI forum) regarding losing milliseconds of audio when we film >5mins in 4k60fps with DJI pocket 2 (without external microphone). Have you encountered the same issue when you shoot continuous videos greater than 5 mins in DJI pocket 2? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Im so disappointed you can't edit 4k video in the app, not even upload. In fact, I have no idea how to upload 4k to my MacBook Air. Do I need to buy an iPad Pro to upload 4k? How do you do it? BTW, love your videos. You are extremely helpful.

One of my main issues is more with DJI memo app. I wanted to have the option to move the on screen joystick on the mobile phone from right side to left side of the screen. Not a fan of the split joy sticks.

Activation problems: I'm trying to connect my brand new dji pocket 2 with the Mimo app via my mobile phone but my dji pocket 2 keeps turning off and disconnecting and disrupting the whole process of activating my dji pocket 2. It's extremely frustrating. And now it's telling me that I have 3 attempts to activate it . Probably if I fail 3 more times then my brand new dji pocket may not work at all.

please contact customer service. i found activation problem with the do it all handle and they jjst replaced me with a new one. i have dji care, wonder if that was useful...🤷‍♀️

@@rfsalad4118 oh, because i had the entire pocket 2 replaces once and it didnt work with my existing do it all handle for no particular reason...so, they replaced me with a new do it all handle. i guess mine is an odd case

It depends on from. Where U belong from if you live in Hot place india u may Face this because these are not adaptable in hot regions 😌

I have faced an issue on my pocket 2, the wide angle lens got clash with gimbal during power off! What about your experience in this plz? It seems after using the wide angle lens (Creator combo package) I have to remove the wide angle lens every time during power off! Is it?

for me, it turns off alright with the lens on but then the camera doesnt then sit conpletely inside. so, i just take off every time i turn the device off. in fact, i dont evem use wide angle that much because the fov doesnt change too much 🤣

intéressant 👍, I plan to buy a new camera for my KZbin videos and I have to decide between the dj pocket 2 /Sony fdr ax53 and Sony zv1 🤔.... for walk in himalayan forest and cross tribal village the pocket 2 will be probably the most confortable but what about the small screen size??? is not disturbing you when you do a video??? I like to see properly on screen what I film... 📹 also by walking 🤔
