Gavin, GREAT visual explanation. I use this quite often with my Classic. If you tap the check mark in the upper right, you can choose multiple items from the album and download them all at once. MERRY CHRISTMAS and a very Happy New Year!

Belated Merry Christmas Gavin & Happy New Year! BTW I bit the bullet and updated the firmware, etc. on my new M4P and, thankfully, the height option is still 500 meters. I plan to video some gorgeous mountainous areas of Thailand in the coming year so I won't be saddled with 120 meters from the Home Point when trying to reach the top of a hilly area. 😁

Great video Gavin.I use this function on M2 which is great, is it max quality done in this way or is it better to extract data off memory card via otg card reader? I know its out of topic but I currently own a mini 2 which I love, but maybe a mini 3 pro in the future but can you assist on this, I recently had a trip overseas and wanted to know if there was anyway you can upload a 360 picture to Google maps. You used to be able to do it via street view but can't anymore. Any walk round with this, I am android user. Cheers in advance and Merry Christamas to you and yours.

At least on my mini 3, tapping the drones power button 3x times puts it into Quicktrasfer/pairing mode.

Hope you can help - I follow the quick transfer directions, the album comes up, but the images don’t. The data of each of the images is there, but no image. I’ve had to go the long way by downloading the sd card on the computer. Thanks

Greetings from Terceira Island in the Azores! I'm a little concerned about the DJI Mini's tendency to overheat when transferring big files with the drone switched on. Could we use a cable to connect both devices while keeping the drone off (just the cable plugged in), similar to how I transfer files from the drone to my PC?

Hi there! So in the settings you will see there is an option called USB mode, this is designed to be used when using USB cables for transferring files and indeed limits the overheating issue on these devices. Of course you can do the same, just plug one end into the drone, other end into the pc and when you switch your drone on your pc should detect it as an external storage device for you to drag the photos and videos over. Hope this helps

it depends, my usual update videos or general info videos I use filmora however for a more "professional" video I want to create I use Final cut pro :)

I dont think so, The drone has the SD card not the Controller. You technically dont need the controller. You can connect your phone and the drone and transfer using quick connect.

No, I have tried to download several times but nothing. I had a mini pro 3 and did the same thing. The drone got dropped in the salt water so bought the mini 4 pro and still the same problem with the file transfer. I have deleted the app and reinstalled but the same thing happens! very frustrating. Is there a DJI help line at all? i am in Australia. Thanks for your reply.

I do this with my Air 3, and it was fast transfer for a few weeks, now it constantly says high interference area and transfers slow, like 1 to 2.5 mb/sec instead of over 30 like it used to. Any thoughts on this? I'm home when I transfer files as I did before.

Hmm.. I normally take the SD card out place into adapter download to my iPhone that for mini 3 pro .. but with the mini 4 pro … well it doesn’t ???? Some reason it go the internal storage even thro you set it up to SD card … my first few videos on the mini 4 pro take the sd card out place into adapter.. THERE NOTHING ON THERE .. So why go internal storage.. when you set it up to go onto my Mini SD Card !!! This is only for the mini 4 pro only ..

Well if you have android beta then dji fly app will crash instantly and it's useless, even light cut crashing...

I could make that if needed, however that is very simple, take the card out the drone and pop it in the pc / card reader or just USB into your pc and the pc will recognise it as a storage device and you can drag and drop the files over :)

This is absolutely not working for me. I have a Mini 3 and RC. I follow your steps for direct to phone and it does not find by drone. Drone is powered up, I open the Fly app on my iPhone and touch Quick Transfer…. It just sits and spins never finding my mini 3. What am I doing wrong?

Disconnect your phone from your home WiFi and see if that works
