I was really hoping LIDAR was going to be integrated into the rs4 pro itself and not be an attachment. Maybe one day. For now I don't see any real reason to upgrade from my RS2.

Just got it, sad to say that the vertical “quick release” feature doesn’t work when you have a cage on. So not so quick after all. Gotta destruct the whole rig just to shoot vertical

Yep its a fail they dont show you putting a heavy camera on vertical mode. My nikon z9 wont balance on vertical its too big but works fine for horizontal… so its a fail

But pro should work?

How does the gimbal communicate with the camera? Blue tooth or wi-fi?

There are cables that you connect from the camera to the gimbal.

The DJI site lists the Canon EOS R5 compatible with RS4 and EOS R5C compatible with RS4 Pro. Have you tested the EOS R5C with the RS4? If it works, what limitations are there?

Does the M button do anything in video mode for a Canon camera? I have a R6 Mark II and can't get the button to do anything in video mode. Appreciate any help!

I already own the FIZ hand unit Nucleus M from tilta, and their focus motors. If I can use them on the RS4 Pro independantly that would be great. But I think I'll lose the auto tracking capabilities with the Lidar system.

Technically, the Canon C400 is not listed under the compatible cameras for the RS4 Pro (According to the DJI website). As long as the weight is under the weight limit, you can still use the camera on the RS4 Pro. You just won't have camera controls on the handle.

The Canon R3 is compatible with the DJI Rs4 Pro, but there isn't a battery grip for the R3. It's already built into the camera body.

Both models will work with your camera set up. It comes down to preference.

RS4 looks good for mirrorless cameras with 24-70mm, but my concern is that how will it perform with same setup mounted vertically. If someone can and plz.

Does anyone know if gimbals like this can be connected to tripod type systems? I'm a wheelchair user and have had to think outside the box in terms of photography. I currently have my mirrorless camera set on a manfrotto variable friction arm which I clamp to my wheelchair which takes the weight of the camera (with quick release plate to get that unexpected shot you weren't set up for). Having only recently started making videos as part of a creative arts degree, I'm intrigued at what options are available to take smooth footage (shaking is introduced both from a tremor I have when holding the camera for a period of time and 'bounce' if I try to record whilst moving my wheelchair with the camera attached). I appreciate this is probably a fairly niche situation so would love to hear of any potential solutions people can think of!

A lot of gimbals will have a tripod mount on the bottom of the handle. You can defiantly connect a gimbal to your set up.

I got the Rs4 pro and it does seem to be smoother and better. Some small updates but I am really disappointed with all the talk about going from horizontal to vertical but it won’t with a bigger camera like the Canon R3. The arm is to far from the motor and can’t slide the horizontal arm enough for it to balance.

I think this should be mandatorily included with all Sony cams, due to their 'active' stabilizer that cannot stabilize even if their entire company worth of pixels depended on it! Cheers 🍻
