Compare RSC 2 with Zhiyun Weebill S? I'm thinking of purchasing a compact gimbal for my sony a6400 and having a comparison between these two would be very helpful
@stevejones014 жыл бұрын
the Zhiyun Weebill S is perfect for the a6400. I use it for my a6300, a7 III and GH5. These things get heavy fast. Your arm will fail long before the gimbals does. You will use this thing a lot when it's new and you are learning it. However, there just isn't that many real story telling shots that require gimbals. The Zhiyun Weebill S is cheap enough to get it out of your system and it won't be too painful to see it just sit there 97% of the time. I have 5 gimbals all just sitting there. Zhiyun Weebill S included. Using a Panasonic GH5 almost eliminates the need for a gimbal 90% of the time. Nobody is going to mount 15K+ worth of camera gear to these things unless they are making a review video.
@aminijooni4 жыл бұрын
@@stevejones01 I own a Sony a6400, a Sigma 16mm and a Sigma 56mm. The camera and lenses don’t have in-body image stabalization. At first your reply made me think that maybe I don’t need a gimbal at all but then I realized all your cameras stabilize the images internally so it make sense that your gimbals are sitting there 90% of the time. But you’re right that weebill s is a suitable gimbal for my camera. At the end of the day all gimbals are doing the same thing...
@stevejones014 жыл бұрын
@@aminijooni The only camera I have with stabilization good enough for video (sometimes) is the GH5. Get a gimbal you will love it. Get the lightest and smallest gimbal you can for your set up and it will get used more often. I would stick with DJI or Zhiyun because there is a lot of videos on how to set up and use. I like my Zhiyun Weebill S for my gear and it's cheap Gimbals do not remove all unwanted motion. Simple walking shots still bounce up and down (it's not the gimbals fault it's the design of all gimbals). You will struggle with focus, exposure, color balance, and seeing your screen while using these. There is a learning curve. there is a reason that most sample gimbal shots are in slow motion and in very consistent lighting. . My gimbals just sit there because I just don't need these types of shots as much as I thought I would. I just waned a gimbal (times 5) , I watch too many review videos.
@MattJacques4 жыл бұрын
@@stevejones01 Thanks for this reality-check, Steve... it's easy to get sucked into gear lust and FOMO when seeing all these reviews, but you're right it's worth thinking hard about how much you'll actually *need* a gimbal to get the shot you're after.
