So of course I got swamped this morning when I woke up by a notifications from KZbin from all of my subscriptions to creators who published videos on the new RS3 like you when the embargo lifted. Yours was the first one that I clicked on. Always great info, and imagine my surprise when I saw that you were rigging it up to shoot karting which is what I am currently getting into filming for a partnership with a racetrack. Would love to see more on how you rig that up and what you learned from filming those.

How did you manage to balance the gimbal with the: Bmpcc6K pro DZO 20-55mm Tilta Mirage Lidar Transmitter Focus motors I have almost the exact same setup and I can’t get the tilt or roll to properly balance as it does with a lighter lens. I certainly can’t balance it in a way that allows it to move as it does at 2:55 in this video. If I balance as best I can any tilt causes the gimbal motors to fail.
@Froehlich_Production2 жыл бұрын
Same here I just can't get it to work properly
@WeddingfilmsinfraserValley2 жыл бұрын
@@Froehlich_Production I have pretty much given up. There is no way to balance it as in video. There must be something involved that isn’t being shown. I definitely can’t balance it with the Tilta float without the float feeling like it is about to break.
@Froehlich_Production2 жыл бұрын
@@WeddingfilmsinfraserValley if I had to guess how they did it, my guess would be that they used some kind of an extended baseplate so they can slide it back enough to counter the weight in the front

I was just wondering: how does the Lidar autofocus system determine what's in focus or not at @14:10 in the video? Because as I understand the camera and lidar are synching both the images in some way so that it determines how to apply the autofocus and movement of the wheel correctly, how does Lidar "guess" it's way how to pull the focus ring and make sure that the camera gets exactly what it needs based just on its own data?
