A more helpful tip, rotate the tello so that it is facing you. The wifi signal is stronger when the camera is facing you. Up to 20 percent further

Wrong. The 2 antennas for the Tello are embedded in both of the REAR leg extensions.

@@whatsup7202 I have no idea if what you are saying about the antenna positions is correct, but GQ Shooter is right that the signal is way strong with the drone facing you. Watch any long range video, everyone turns the Tello around once they get so far and it allows them to go way further.

But if it's lost connection how can you send it a command to rotate! The same as I don't understand when he lost connection why is it still transmitting video?

I flew it up slightly higher then I should have in high winds, which made it fly over the roof. I managed to not panic and with struggle got it back.

Great info Always test your drone in a place with lot of vision Like a big field Then even if it gets lost we can see So after learning the limits and capabilities You can try it near less wide places

My Tello, at max range, caught a breeze and was gone...I was surprised how uneventful, and how easily, it happened. I dropped it down when I saw it was leaving but couldn't discern the depth enough to know how close the nearby trees were. I'm sure it is in a tree. As a new droner..how do you see what is developing on your phone when it is washed out by the sun? Thanks

Yeah, wash-out is an issue. What I've done on my phone is increase brightness to max. I've also heard (but not yet tried) that using a sun-shade helps, and, also, wearing polarized sunglasses which are not too dark.

I have a 2000mw wifi USB with a tiny directional 9dB panel antenna. Would be interesting to try use that and a portable laptop to control tell in the field.

Hey bro...thanks for your videos. I just subscribed. I wish I watched this yesterday, as I just bought my Tello yesterday...and as a true Noob, I was keen to test it, but panicked and lost it in high wind and crashed it on my neighbours roof! haha!! Luckily I got it back today...phew!! After drying it out...it's working fine...what a tough little drone! :)

had it when the lipo was at 20% The Tello flew away over the house,ground sensors did not keep up i think at max height and yeahhh do not panic 😃

AJ Alvarez well you give good advice thats is true about the Tello 👍, and i still have to order a wifi extender with powerbank 😃. Hmm maybe a second Tello for spare because i like it a lot for a wifi quad and its my first .i only did fly 5.8 ghz manual controlled quads before 😁
