I’ve had my spark for years and push the limits for miles and when ever I go to far it always goes up to 150 feet and returns to with in 5-3’ of where it left from it does everything it should do . I had it set to follow my grand son and he ran user a tree it it hit a tiny and messed up the humble motor and sent it back for repair and they sent me a new updated spark and now I have to pair my new drone to my old remote and this was the first video I watched and it worked. Thank you very much. 67 yr old drone pilot!

Thank you so much for this, man! I have been trying to pair my Spark remote for three days. I have watched every tutorial out there, but nobody explained it like you did! Also, I was using the Spark's WiFi instead of the remote's WiFi with my phone. No wonder I couldn't get it to work. I was all set to ship my Spark and remote back to DJI for repair or replacement. Glad you posted this. I did an update to my controller and thought all was good. Launched my Spark and that puppy lifted and sat about 5 feet off the ground. The controllers did nothing. Then to make matters worse, I lost control on the phone and I couldn't even land it. Not sure how I accomplished that. Anyway, I had to just sit helplessly and wait on the battery to drain. It been a while since I had to do this and I was paring my phone to the drone. Got it going now. You rock.

Used thus video few days ago and everything went as shown. Tried to fly today remote won't pair to drone. So I tried to redo it all over again. Can't get my drone to beep after any amount of time. (3 sec hold mentioned in video) some reason I'm doing something wrong. Also do I need to go through the pairing process everytime I want to fly my drone? Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Great video BTW! Truly made it easier then reading that tiny instruction manual lol!

You also have to have the RC connected to your phone's WIFI. BUT, do you have to also have the Spark connected to WIFI too?

You don't have to reset anything if you just follow these instructions it will pair your new controller to your spark. I hope you enjoy the video

I followed the instructions and finally got a green light on the controller after pairing. The remote still does nothing by itself. Looks like the only way I can get the controller to work is when I connect the phone to the remote control and get the video working. THEN the controller works. So it looks like you can't just fly the drone around with the controller without using a phone?!

Somehow this stopped working. Only thing that saved me was the GoFly has a quick instruction and aid and that got me paired again.

Can you help me for this issue too please? My drone is defaulted to 100m range. When I try to change the distance it would not let me. Do you have any idea how to change the range and save it to the RC?

+Texasvideos that is all done in the dji go 4 app. I did not ever experience that issue. If you go in to your settings AFTER you restart the app, you should be able to change those settings...provided you are not in a flight restricted zone
