DJI Zenmuse P1 vs Share 102s | 3D Mapping Comparison

Guys your video is interesting but compare what’s comparable ! What we want to know is if 103s can be more efficient than a p1 system with smart oblique mode not just a classic 5 flights oblique mission… In both case we have only 1 flight to get 5 direction images. Can we save time in operation with this camera or not with longer focal length and smaller sensor ? At the same altitude which one is the fastest and what’s the size of the output dataset ?

Hi Theo, where are you based? We do advanced testing with interested groups at our training facility in Scotland. We can also supply data sheets for you to view and render. This is a basic video showcasing the different in single lens (classic oblique) V oblique. We have a demo 102s and in reality, the 303s from ShareUAV is a better comparison V the p1. Our next video we can put the Share up against smart oblique through the P1. More video’s in this series to come so appreciate the feedback and what you want to see 👌

One flight, 5 oblique angles? The P1 Smart oblique may have been a fairer comparison. I'm sure you could get similar flight times and better imagery from the P1. No?

It’s coming in good time 👌 we have invested in a demonstration share UAV 102s and they are not cheap units. Zenmuse P1(45mp full frame) will beat share 102s (24.5mpx5), yes in terms of individual image quality but 303s (61mpx5)V p1 is a fairer comparison if we want to have comparisons on pixels. We are showing the speed and quality of capture using the share oblique range. 5 images at everyone 1 of the zenmuse p1.

@@edinburghdronecompany For the time comparison- You could use Smart oblique option for 3D models with the P1. You would get one vertical and 4 oblique images with the same single flight. It would take same or less time than 102s. I did a 2.5 sq km obliqure flight (2.5 cm gsd) with only 04 flights.

Understandable, we can run any test you like and supply sample data 👌 5 cameras will always beat one and we see better data from this as it captures more
