Can't wait for a residential version with a tiny, ultra-quiet drone or a swarm of drones in a compact dock, installed on the roof. Automated perimeter checks and thermal sweeps.

Considering it has only 400 battery charge cycles, I don't think it will be cost effective for tasks that require regular monitoring of small region. CCTVs are better for this.

It can. I am no expert, but this is certainly very configurable and can be connected to third party plattforms to achieve such goal that you wished. In fact i saw some youtubers use similar ideas on the Dock1. The cost and the code? I have no clue.

Combine this with computer vision with a multi-modal model that you can train yourself it would alleviate a lot of the repetitive visual inspections and allow inspectors more time to do the more difficult ones.

Hope all DJI hobbists drones will also be built with upward pointing arms so that take-off can be on any solid surface. IF DJI decides on this design for all future hobbists' DJI drones, tiny outward-pointing stubs at the bottom can make the drones more stable on the ground.
