I demo'd the cartridges and the differences in sound quality are very small, you have to really listen to be able to tell. The DJ cartridge has ever so slighly more detail than the Mix cartridge and the Club in my opinion does have better sound quality than the rest but omly by a small margin and in my opinion the club aren't worth the extra money due to the only slightly better detail.

Dude I’m looking to buy a set & I play techno which pair would you recommend please ? I’m torn between the mix & club ? Thanks in advance bro! 😉
@AmbientWanderer3 жыл бұрын
I guess it really depends what type of music you're playing. for example, if you're playing very well recorded source material through expensive audio gear, then the sound quality will be more noticeable. but for the average bedroom DJ, they're not going to notice a huge difference.
@AmbientWanderer3 жыл бұрын
@@christopherpryse7117 if you're using Vinyl only then just go for the mix and save yourself some money. But if you're going to be using through DVS i'd recommend the scratch for their high output and good sound quality. Although i guess my recommendation is prob worthless now, as it;s already been 11 months since you asked the question LOL :)

I mix a lot of Dnb jungle bassy music but also techno electro house. So torn between the scratch, mix and club. What would you recommend? I enjoy a clean representation of the music but am worried I won’t get enough bass output from the mix or club. Does the scratch muddy the sound at all?

Thank you so much for your replies. I'm still confused though.. Because... I have old vinyl (mainly house/garage, but also old 70's vinyl (Pink Floyd etc) ).. I'm an 'old schooler', as in, I'm not very 'digital', but do realize I'll have to eventually get control vinyl + all that set-up... So... Concorde Scratch or Concorde Digital?? i.e.: do the Scratch work decently on control vinyl? I learn that the Digitals on real vinyl, scratch well, is it true? So it's a slight dilemma.. Maybe it boils down to: do I want more bass (Scratch), or do I want less bass, but cleaner sound (high frequencies more audible, i.e. Digital) ? Maybe that's the real difference..? Because they all seem to be fine for both real and control vinyl.. A little confusing, and I'm stuck.. ;) Thanks

All of these can be used to play analogue records, although you would probably get the best sound out of the Club stylus.

@djkit5 жыл бұрын
Antoine D'Agostino All are good for DVS! But the Digital are most suited.
@lol69_525 жыл бұрын
Antoine D'Agostino With dvs, the only thing you need is a clean time code signal coming from the turntable, but I wouldn’t use the club with dvs. It’s elliptical which is for sound quality on real vinyl, but with dvs there’s really no benefit in using an elliptical, you’ll just ruin your time code vinyl and you’ll get worse tracking.

The digital boosts the output where as the others don't. I use m447's for dvs and it works just fine all though a bit quiet. Just turn up your gain and your fine.

How long do these last? As in when do they need to be replaced, on average.
@mndgmesvisuals65644 жыл бұрын
Bought a set of the Scratch mk2s last March and I primarily use them for DVS... Couldn't tell you an exact number of hours, but I play on them every day for roughly an hour or two a day. If I had to guess, I'd say I've probably logged 800 hours on them and just this past week I had one of the stylus go on me... Keep in mind this is also playing gigs with heavy wear and tear. That aside, I'd recommend these carts all day (especially the scratch). I'm currently using a Numark CC1 while I wait for replacement styli in the mail and the tracking compared to the scratches is night and day.

In terms of sound quality is the new concorde club better than the older nightclub mk2?has anyone test them?does a replacement worth it?
Is mkii mix , the green, ok for stanton str 880 which has a straight tone arm ? ThanX
@stonecollins32865 жыл бұрын
Bill Kara you’ll get increased record wear but better tracking on a straight arm as you can’t adjust the angle.
@BeersAndBeatsPDX4 жыл бұрын
Check to see if they have a headshell variation.
@gimble447 Жыл бұрын
Forget these on a straight arm, to get straight to the point they can only be used on S or J arms, and there are no " headshell" variations ( it doesn't have a headshell for one but no there are no angle mount variations )😂
