Don't care what you think or say Jem, you did awesome with this vehicle! Part of why I love this channel is because y'all are real and I'm just glad that success hasn't changed that about either of you. Be proud of what you have done and your hubby for doing the hardest thing of all and not getting in your way with this build.

You are doing a fantastic job Jem! Don't get frustrated we all run into problems. No matter how many kits we put together. For a 1st time build you are doing just great.

Good job Jem ! Occasional frustration is an integral part of RC building, and your reaction to it is commendable.
@SeamusMacMattain7 жыл бұрын
Great Job JEM!!! I know how kits can be and that one was pretty intense for a new builder... I taught a buddy (brand new to RC) today how to maintain his rig, and forgot a couple things, installed a piece backwards, etc, got it all worked out and right.... we all do it and no worries, you have joined a very proud club of RC builders, take pride in that beauty, and yourself!!

Enjoyed the video , Jem. The first time build by such a real person who happens to be a fine lady, wife, and mother has been an incredible series. Look forward to seeing more.

Jem summed up this hobby when she said it's a labour of love, so true. You need to cut out the body though, the final frustrating piece of the puzzle. Well done on completing your first build.

Jem nice job! A tip from a guy who was building RC's for just about 35 years now, when you put something together that has multiple screws to fasten parts together screw in the screws but leave them a few turns lose do not tighten the first one down than go to the next screw... when you leave them lose a bit not bottomed out you can manipulate the parts so you can get the screws lined up in the wholes better because the parts will have some play to wiggle them around when you do it this way and when you get all the screws started then go back and snug each one up. Makes building much more simple and easy =)

Hi Jem, I think you did a great job, the first time building a kit is very hard, but to do it in front of the camera must have been a challenge. Well done to you, I hope to see more of you learning and sharing as we are not all expert's. Thanks to you both, I enjoy your channel and it was the start of me and my wife getting into the RC hobby. I just recently built the scx10 ii (finished it last night). Before this kit I built a losi 8ight T3.0 from kit and recently an associated SC5M. What makes building kits so much fun is beyond learning how they work and keeping them running. Looking at the big picture of these kits and the thousands of hours into designing not just the vehicle, but the designing planning and R&D for the injection molded components, the frame stamping, machining of the gears and a quality system in place to k Make sure top knotch components are produced, establishing a fully committed staff to make a great end product that thousands of people will enjoy. I have around 12 hours into building this kit. Every single one had its own challenge, and it adds to the fun! You guys have inspired me over the years to go beyond the race track and hit some trails! Fantastic videos, you guys do a great job! Thank you for your efforts and commitment over the years to not only entertain us, but to teach us valuable tips to take our end of this great hobby to the next level! Thank you! Robert

well done jem, its always satisfying to get the wheels on and have a rolling chassis, and don't feel bad about getting frustrated with a build occasionally, it happens, just take a time out and come back later. (also notice how hard it is to avoid innuendo when talking about screws!)

Helpful tip for putting screws in new plastic. Take a drill bit(I use a 9/64 bit) and lightly n slightly drill the beginning part of the screw hole to tapper the hole,just the very beginning of the hole. Best if done by hand so you don't drill the hole out. Also helps with future reassembly and the frustration of get the screw to thread in new plastic.
