I had to get this off my chest. I wont be talking about this on a regular basis.. but had to make a video explaining it once.. instead of always having to explain it again and again. This affects my life .. but I can manage it. I hope others can find strength in this film. The video description box is full. Thanks for understanding

Yep I know what is like to being unable to sleep because guts pain or waking up at the middle of the night and sitting on the toilet for an hour... in a cold winter. I still do not know what I have but it sure is something about bacteria or something coeliac, anyway that was in the past but I still suffer from constant guts tremors or movement depending of what I eat, so I should go to a doctor then to a nutricionist :/ Appart of than i got a herniated disc.. or two, and Im still recovering from a bad move last month that has left me crippled for a week+, now I'm just half-crippled but this is the longest recovery time so far :/

Oh... the middle of the night "bomb-out" is a nightmare!!! It's not fun to find yourself stuck like that... in agony (to the point where you almost cannot breath) and more-or-less helpless (sometimes where you cannot move)! If you're experiencing what I go through, here is what I do to help prevent it... first, I try to eat some chocolate every day if possible, as it does have an effect on my nervous system (where the problem starts) - funny how things can affect you, either for the good or for the bad (I find it doesn't take much). I also carry a pill bottle with my 'emergency stash' - medicines that I know will help in different crises. Dicyclomine works well when I am stuck like that, plenty of water during the day also helps to prevent it (for me, not enough water makes things much worse). I do understand... and for those bad days when nothing seems to work... we know what it's like, and hope to encourage you - you aren't alone in what you go through! Bad days come and go, ditto for the good ones. You have to grit your teeth through the bad ones, and look ahead to the better ones (which do come) - as if you didn't already know that! (GRIN!)

God I know what you mean all to well about rocking in pain, you're just in hopeless misery ! Sorry medic! I got back into this hobby because of my disabilities and you've been with me from the very beginning. What you do is great. Because of you I just started my own channel and my second video I just made was completely inspired by your Bumblebeest project. I made a Bumble Jeep. So I just want to thank you for what you do. You really are an inspiration to us all! I would be honored if you even just saw my video. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3u1XnyDrZx_aZI but you have so many comments I doubt you'll ever even get a chance to read this sadly and you'll never know what you mean to and have done for me.

I have been watching “DJ MEDiC” ever since around 2009. I’m 20 yrs old, my dad got me into the world of RC cause I’ve always been into mechanical stuff...pre-exposed to those kind of things cause parents and grandparents generations back were mechanics. I really got into it around 2005 when I was getting to the age of being able to appreciate nice hobby grade RC. I remember when I first found RC Sparks on KZbin around ‘09; it seems like that was forever ago. I have been along for the ride ever since. I spent about 98% of my childhood outdoors doing something but when I was inside, I was watching Medic’s cool RC videos! Point being man, You have touched more people’s lives than one would think. I’ve been here from the start and I’ll be here to the end. Proud to say I’m part of the OG subscriber gang! DJ, we as a KZbin community are here for you bro. I for one know you can beat those diseases after hearing this story and seeing all you have went through while remaining resilient. Sending prayers y’alls way all the way from da bayou down here in south Louisiana! God bless and laissez bon temps rouler!

I feel so bad for you, as it is worse than imagined. But I feel so good for all the people suffering with similar disseases, especially the young ones, to be able to see one of the heroes of the hobby, be so open about it. Hope that it can help and inspire people to be open too. Hope it can also help you to get it off your chest. My best wishes for you and your family - going through all this. I hope you not only will get acceptance here but also a lot of virtual hugs. Cuz that is what you deserve. All the best and love from overseas here.

didnt realize how long i had been subscribed (about 8 years), i used to watch every video every single day. my dad got me hooked on rc's AND your channel. I got a few friends hooked on rc's and your channel aswell, i dotn watch the videos all the time like i used too, simply because ive gone from 13 to 21 years of age since i started watching your stuff and my hobbies have shifted to full size vehicles but i still love to see your videos once in a while. My mom has crohns, it s started out super bad and she was also a "victim" to testing. she had this one steroid she took and it made her suicidal, swell up like a balloon from gaining weight and never had a good side effect. she got off that and onto something else and has been doing much better. still visits the bathroom quite frequently but shes not hurting like she has used to. I hope all goes well for you! i will always be subscribed and watch your content as long as you make it. Thanks for all you have done over the years for providing me and all the other kids/teens/adults entertainment.

Hey man from sub zero New York State. Love your channel. Having health issues is always a challenge and never fun to talk about. But sometimes making them public and talking about them is helpful even just emotionally. Having a positive attitude when you have health issues is healing in and of itself. A very dear friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer about 18 years ago. Went through chemo and radiation treatment which was downright awful. But he kept a very positive attitude and discussed his feelings with everyone which helped him immensely. Been cancer free since then. Like they say laughter is the best medicine. Keep doing what your doing and stay strong.

What I hate is when people look at me and say" I dont see you physically in pain". Thats the most absurd thing anyone has ever said to anyone. I deal with chronic pain in my own way as best I can. I do take medication and right now it has become a political red hot potatoe so I have to deal with that now and a doctor that keeps trying to change my meds. I told him if he can fix my problem I will be more than happy to stop taking medication. I feel for you and heard the same crap with my doctors. One even tryed to say it was in my head. I know you are dealing with health issues and like me can only do my RC stuff on the days I feel up to it due to pain. I pray no one else has Kidney Cancer and go through what I go through. Same as I am sure you do not wish this on anyone else. I take life one day at a time. Thats all I can do. 27 thumbs down. Really guys? Really? Put yourself in his shoes for a change. Just because it is not about your hobby for one video is NOT going to kill you. What does kill is Cancer, and many other diseases. As much as you dislike this, its life. We go along enjoying it and everything is sunshine and roses and BAM! You find out you have Cancer , or Crohns, or whatever. Then YOU suffer with pain...who is going to thumbs down you? Who? I give this guy credit. Its hard doing ANYTHING when pain trys to run your life. I know. I deal with it every day too. Shame on you thumbs down guys.

I understand SO much! I'm also dealing with extreme Pain, and a Government, Hell Bent on keeping NEEDED Prescription Drugs away from the ones who NEED it, because a small percentage of our population abuses Drugs!! Most of the thick headed Idiots in Washington have NO CLUE what we go through. They've got their Progressive Agenda (REGARDLESS of which side!), and a Blind Crusade to fix yet ANOTHER Problem that isn't there!! I just told Aaron EVERYTHING that I'm going through. I thought it was really Brave of him to tell us about it! Being an "Internet Celebrity" DOESN'T keep one from being afflicted with the terrible problems that too many of us are forced to deal with. Our Prayers are with you! My Wife is also fighting Cancer - Stage 3C, Colon... And Her DOCTORS! I take my last ounces of Strength to try to help and support Her. Carmine 💥 ⛽

@RedHeart64 5 жыл бұрын
@@CarminesRCTipsandTricks Please don't blame progressives - they aren't the ones behind the move. I'm a progressive liberal, and very angry over the nonsense being pushed on people because doctors (the bad ones) push medicines on people that they KNOW will probably make them addicted (even with prescribed dosages and regimen) - regulating ordinary people is not a progressive idea. Yes, some people abuse the drugs - and the war on drugs (NOT progressive in the least) makes the abuse-able drugs quite valuable 'on the street'. I happen to know how this all started, and it started because of the 'pill mills' and people going from pharmacy to pharmacy and doctor to doctor... getting scripts so they could sell the drugs (plus abuse them). Pharmacists caught on (they got tired of being threatened and robbed and having street sellers trying to scam them) and people who like to dictate the lives of others (again, NOT a progressive characteristic, which is based largely on 'live and let live') took it from there. The problem is, they use a sledgehammer when they should use a scalpel - and they go after the very people they should help and ignore the people who created the problem in the first place. I was put on a medicine years ago, to keep my body from dying from the neurological condition I live with. (It's difficult to explain - the condition is a weird one, almost certainly caused by exposure to radioactive fallout as a toddler). The meds worked, but contrary to what the company said about them ("not addicting"), I became chemically dependent ("addicted" is actually an accusation of abusing drugs when it comes from someone in the medical field). It took me a year to wean myself off of the medicine - I know only too well what withdrawal and all that is like, and "hurt" for a couple more years. Often things happen that people cannot control, and getting free of a drug dependency is very hard, it requires great self-discipline and commitment. When you live in a 'feel good!' society, it can even be harder. The thing is, the very people who do the 'thumbs down' probably have been taught that we're broken people - and what do you do with something that's broken? In this throw-away society - you discard the broken!!! (Many, if not most of them have been taught that we're being punished for our 'sins' and if we'd just 'repent', our medical conditions would go away - that's a claim and accusation I've heard MANY MANY times over the years, from clueless and comfortable bigots in this hellhole.) People who haven't experienced chronic (or really severe) pain don't have a clue to what life is like for us. Having a hidden disability can be even more of a pain - when people try to deny your limitations "because you don't look ____!!!" Thus, we need to stick together... and let people know that we're far more than broken objects - we're all PEOPLE and deserving of the same respect and opportunities - and if there are limitations, well, WORK with us to find ways around them, not against us!

@@CarminesRCTipsandTricks My prayers go out for you and your wife. Yes, it is illegal drugs and abuse by a few that caused this mess. Typical government, ban EVERYTHING even if it benifits those that really need it. My doctor cannot even offer an alternative. He refuses to even entertain the idea other than take away what works. Thank you Ken, for those words of encouragement and praise. That was very kind of you to write, and I had a smile while reading it. Yes, i certainly do love this hobby.. and really finding new ways to explore it with creativity. If it wasnt for my friends and family, and of course KZbin.. I would never had been able to have discovered so much about my self, and this fantastic hobby we all love so much. I am honoured, and humbled by the outpouring of support. I did not want to make a long video about the subject, as not to sound like I was complaining - rather, just informing our viewers about the limitations I have been facing, and the battle I continue to engage in every day. Posts like these give me that extra strength I need to push through the difficult times. Thank you Ken

Hey Aron I have been watching a lot of your video’s recently! I only discovered your channel like a few weeks ago. So guess i’m binchwatching 😂. I never reacted before, but this video made me to. This is why... 36 years ago i was born with a chronical desease, which got only discovered at my 3 lifeyear. This desease influences everything. And without the propper medication i would have died years ago. I’ve felt a guinea pig since childhood, got injected with hormones and cortisone for whole my life. Its just a small part in my brain that is misformed. The small part that produces all the natural hormones you need in life. To grow, to get through puberty, the get strong bones and muscles all had to be done artificially. There have been times in my life that i rebelled against the medication, because i wanted to be like everyone else and not be dependant of the meds. Not taking my meds for a few weeks made me so sick and in the end i would die. I have been through external and internal pain in my stomach, intestants and bones and spine. And yet, most people see me as an optimistic, humouristic guy and like to be with me. There is not really a reason for me to share this to the world, but your video did gave me strenght. Most people wont consider us as “sick” so they dont understand it when you cant pick up heavy stuff or cant follow a high pace of work. But doing the stuff i like, makes me happy as the RC hobby does for you. Although it has been tough, i am greatfull for life and i love to live. Continue your hobby, let it enlighten you and love your family with all your heart, because in the end, that is all what matters, not what other people think of us. Best regards. ✌️

Congrats on all your success and for sharing your story. I deal with chronic back pain, leg pain, and I get seizures from an accident at work. I had a 600 lb electrical cabinet fall on my back, and I had fracture vertebrates bones, back fusion, and came close to not walking. I tried to live that normal life , but your life changes so much after. I picked this hobby of rc and it has helped me to go outside and be motivated instead of being depressed. Hey Medic! After hearing your story, your name has multiple meanings! I’m so sorry to hear what you have been going through. As I watched this video from my hospital bed they just finished my 30th “Major” Surgery, I thought how the heck has he pulled this off!. This time they removed all but 2 of the discs in my neck, and replacing them with these amazing new “titanium spring loaded” discs! I had 7 previous cervical spine surgeries, all with too many complications to count including a broken drill bit left in my neck! I have also had 9 lumbar surgeries including crushed pelvis & broken hips, so sadly I truly feel for what you’re going through. My colon and bladder were severely damaged as well, but that’s a whole nother story... I used to live in SoCal, spent 6 years at the GM Advanced Technology Center and got to do all kinds of crazy things including crewing an NHRA Top Fuel Oldsmobile (NOT LYING!) 500ci sort of Hemi! I was also lucky enough to get into racing Baja for 3 years before my back said NO MORE! After my latest accident, hit head on by a drunk driver on one of my Harley’s they said I’d never walk again, and would have little use of my right arm. I chucked the wheelchair, got into a great rehab and 8 months later walked out under my own power! I was bored out of my mind, so I bought a plane ticket to SEMA. Still in the upper body frame, but I didn’t care... I ran into a buddy of mine from my GM days and he showed me the Traxxas 3.3 Nitro T-MAXX and told me here is a truck you can work on! Sure enough when I arrived home the box was sitting in my living room, my wife didn’t even ask what I was up to now. I found your channel way back and thought what a great guy, I can learn from him and get in a good mood! (I’m pretty sure you know how low you can get when battling constant chronic pain) especially when anybody who looks at you says, he looks perfectly healthy?? I just want to tell you with your great attitude ringing in my ears, I’ve gone on to build over 200 custom Surface RCs including a10bhp fuelie stroker Kraken Vekta, all the 1/5 Losi’s etc. I still have just over 60 very custom 1/8 & 1/10 scalers hanging off the walls of my workshop, and they just seem to come out with that new “ Have to check this out!” Every few months. So I have started auctioning some of my stuff off for charity. I’ve been an engineer at heart since I fixed Moms toaster at about 10 years old! Getting back into RC has really kept my mind and hands busy, your GREAT ATTITUDE has been priceless, keep up the great work, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything! Thanks

Aaron, buddy there is no need to feel bad for us fella, some of us have health issues that also take a lot out of us, I mentioned my L4-L5 Disc issue a while back when you updated us with your ongoing spinal war. In 09 I was under the knife for a 7.5hr heart op 4 months after my little monkey was born (that was a big game changer) then a short while after that, diagnosed with gluten intolerance- which was explained why my food processing station wasn’t happy for over 20+ years. Continue onward with your battle, WHATEVER you can do you do it and enjoy it, those who know and have followed will continue to do so no matter what chap. Knowing this for a lot of people suffering or other wise you can guarantee there is understanding and ALOT of respect for your continued obligation to have fun and enjoy what you can when you can. We are honoured and grateful to be along for the RC ride. Keep going chap we only get one shot at life - seems like you’ve had it by the throat for a while. Respect goes to ya buddy. A true inspiration to us all, no matter what you say. Fight on fella. RC Roo

Oh, man, I am sorry to hear this. The worst part of having a hard to diagnose disease is the pressure to prove your ailments to doctors. It got to the point for me where i was really questioning if I was really as sick as I felt or if it was a psychological problem as a couple Drs suggested. Then I found a neurologist that new what was up and after a few years of meds, I started having a life again. I am incredibly happy for you to have your diagnosis and a game plan. Knowing what it is that is holding you back is huge in terms of finding new ways to stop it from holding you back. Thanks for sharing, brother.

OMG as I posted on your last video regarding Crohns this video too hits home. I’ve been dealing with rectal cancer for the past year and had an ileostomy placed in September, in 3 weeks it will be reversed but a permanent colostomy will be installed. Hearing other peoples stories surely helps me process my own feelings. I really appreciate this video. 👍🏼 I found the more I talk about my diagnosis the easier it becomes for me to accept the changes. A few years back (I’m 44 now)my body became intolerant of gluten, lactose, tomatoes, artificial colors (dyes), artificial sweeteners, shellfish etc...it’s life changing and all we can do is learn to accept it. Also I’m sharing with my wife because she has been dealing with debilitating stomach pain for weeks, feeling like someone punched her and that of a raw lining feeling. Dr’s keep saying they don’t know what’s wrong, she is to be scheduled for a colonoscopy soon so maybe that will shed some light. Praying for you 🙏🏻
