The mental element involved i disease activation is decoded now guys. There's this eBook of J King , Bits & Pieces You Might've Missed About Your Crohn's Disease, it's on lulu, it shows the 7 identified like mental patterns that chronically come together at once in complementarity to do the damage they do with the flaring of the autoimmune element. I found myself in it. I think could be a huge read, one of the biggest if not the biggest. Really impressive. Best of luck to you! Hope it helps.

Wow! Your video did a whole lot of good to me! I'm 62, have had Crohn's since 12, but early symptoms were all related to joints pain, swelling and difficulty to move till I became 19. I was already used to being hospitalised 1 to 3 times a year, getting out feeling a bit better but never with a diagnosis. Then I started getting weak, fever and accute pain without being able to specify where it hurt. It ended up being 2 fistulas that took 6 surgeries to get rid of - but still no diagnosis. 2 years later, I started having diarreias even over a glass of water. Fast forward 24 years and, while living in Singapore, I had another flare and finally they told me what I had. Prednisolone almost killed me, I sttoped walking, had no family anywhere near and no one wanted to operate. Moved to USA and started using a kind of chemotherapy, called Remicade, which helped me immensely with the joint pain, but, after 5 years, doctors stopped it because they found something wrong in my heart. That is when a doctor in Brazil, my own country, was brave enough to tell me that the stenosed area of my terminal ileum could never get better with chemo and normal medication, or even immune suppressors. After that surgery, I became a guinea-pig for several immune suppressors in tablets and they all made me worse. But then I didn't have the hospitalisations because of obstructions anymore and decided that medication would not heal me and the side effects would only make something else get worse, so... I don't take anything for Crohn's disease anymore! I work from home, when I can, and avoid painkillers, though, by now, I also have spondylitis, enthesitis, fibromyalgia, arthritis and arthrosis. Life is not easy, pain is there everyday, all the time, but there is still life. One thing though: for me, there is no remote possibility of v@xines, for obvious reasons. But life goes on. Thank you so much for your video! It made me feel a lot less lonely and more hopeful to carry on fighting till Jesus comes or till I rest for a while before that!!!

Soft bread doesn't sound like a good idea, gluten is inflammatory*, as are the oils and preservatives that go into making bread have that texture and shelf life. *It activates zonulin which increases intestinal permeability, causing inflammation

Thank you for your post and sharing your experience with Crohn’s disease. I was only recently diagnosed with Crohn’s about 3 years ago (I started getting sick 4 years ago). It was very late in life that I got it (late 40’s). I spent my 30’s into my 40’s with IBS. If I had to choose between the two, I’d go back to IBS (of course I’d much rather be healthy again!). It’s been a tough journey thus far, without much support. Many of my friends or others I’ve spoken to about it (outside of the medical field) don’t know much or anything at all about the disease. Some haven’t even heard of it which is crazy considering there are at least 17,000 people in my city of Vancouver BC alone living with this disease. With that I’ve found it difficult to get support from friends and some family, even my GP. Most “friends” lost their patience because they don’t understand and don’t contact me anymore, and some very rarely. They don’t understand when I have to cancel plans last minute or if it’s going for a bite to eat, they don’t fully grasp my dietary needs (which consists of very little on my food list). I can’t help but then feel selfish and needy (I’m much a work in progress). This has presented such a huge change in my life. I’m on my 3rd biologic (trying to find one that works) which is now Entyvio. I’ve had a few runs of prednisone, the first when I was admitted to hospital with a blockage. That combined with my first biologic (Humira) seemed to make my weight rapidly increase daily-sometimes as much as 5 pounds a day! I gained about 45 pounds and two years later I have only lost about 15. The rest just won’t budge! I’ve been on two…or three? more runs of prednisone and luckily no more weight gain, just moon face and every other symptom that it’s known to potentially cause! I’m praying the Entyvio will start to do it’s magic soon (I’ve had 4 doses). Thankfully I’ve been approved for subcutaneous injection so I will be able to give it to myself instead of going to the clinic for IV infusions. I’m still frustrated with my GI specialist because I have painful and odd (to me) issues going on that he just won’t address every time I talk to him or see him (which is a rare occurrence), for example the tight pressure and distention under my ribs and feeling as if my liver is badly bruised along with every type of pain throughout my digestive system…and Oy Vey, the sounds it makes sometimes! My last colonoscopy in late March showed that things have much improved (Dr said like a 2 out of 10, 10 being horrible), so why do I still feel so rotten? And for some reason the Drs at this hospital that I’ve seen here in Vancouver BC, have performed my colonoscopy’s without the proper sedation, so I’m awake and feel all the pain and expressing myself about the pain doesn’t matter. This was my third test like this, from 2 separate Drs…so now I have anxiety about having another colonoscopy. A new symptom popped up eleven months ago. I went to bed feeling ok and able to walk just fine but I woke up the next day unable to walk properly! My left knee was completely inflamed all around the patella and my leg was frozen into a bent position. The numerous Drs I’ve since been to see, don’t have any answer as to why this is happening. The best answer I’ve received is from my Orthopaedic surgeon who said it may be caused by my fibromyalgia and Crohn’s disease being flared up? She seemed unsure. I was told to try physio and see what happened. I have a difficult time this would happen over night just like that. I had my first Covid vaccination two weeks previous to this happening which for me raises some suspicion. It could very well have an odd effect on those with autoimmune diseases-especially those who are having a flare and are inflamed. It has been 11 months on crutches now. I’m at my wits end and feel so alone with it. I can’t seem to eat much of anything without having pain, even broth. I’m hoping I find an answer and/or relief soon! I’m tired of feeling this way. My life mostly consists of laying in bed, watching KZbin or whatever! Oy Vey! When I feel adventurous and go out to do something very gentle, I often end up in pain for the next few days. Last couple of times I ended up feeling as if I had the flu, with a fever that only lasted 1 day (each time). So, I again find myself back in bed. I apologize for the length of this “comment”! I’m feeling rather desperate for some possible answers and advice from someone who gets it! I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with this illness for the majority of your life, Jeff. I hope you feel better these days and have been in remission! Some say it can be healed-any thoughts on this? Would you happen to have any tidbits of advice for me? Feel free to email me at: jmnvan@yahoo.ca Cheers, all the best!!

Crohn's/UC is a bastard. I was diagnosed at 33. Looking back, it explains so many things I experienced growing up, that were usually blamed on my growth, weight, or being lazy. I've been lucky, and while I nearly shat myself to death, I've been able to mostly recover thanks to Remicade and later Stelara. However, ancillary issues, like consolidated pneumonia and prednisone induced diabetes have been added on top of everything else. The best description I can give to people about any of these chronic illnesses is that everyone has a stamina bar, and mine just happens to normally be about half of a normal persons. However, sometimes, I can extend it, and other times, it won't refill as fast. Sorry you were in the hospital. The 3 weeks I spent (over two visits), was annoying to say the least, especially those nights when you just can't sleep, regardless of what the disease is actually doing. Stay Strong!

Jeff, thanks for sharing! The 3 times my Crohn's disease has put me in the hospital I had a lot of interruptions to my sleep. The buzzers would start every time my pulse got below 40 bpm. Which was whenever I fell asleep! I had an ostomy for a while too. I was grateful when it was taken down and I did not have to deal with it anymore. I share your worries about COVID too. Like you, Remicade and Imuran make me more vulnerable to COVID; so thanks for educating people about this.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease at age 5 (8 years ago) And boy, has my life been a battle. The sound that the IV machine makes slightly, is like my white noise. I've gotten used to it. Especially after last year. I spent almost all last year in and out of the hospital. I had my colon removed last September and am doing so so better now. I've not once sence I've had a colectomy had a flare. That and along with Stelara have helped me to the extreme!

Hi Jeff, thanks for sharing, great to see a guy talk about this hidden disease, I can fully empathise with you. got CD too, had a Pan-proctocolectomy with ileostomy 4 years, currently on Ustekinumab (stelara). The worst of it was the steroids, drove me nuts (steroid-induced psychosis). Unable to work these last few years and to keep myself occupied I started messing around with microcontrollers which led to the Pi a few years ago to keep myself occupied. Love the channel...

Just found your channel. I also suffer from Crohn's. When I was first diagnosed my doctor told me to eat whatever and just keep a track of what upsets your stomach. I was on Remicade from 2013 to last year. I had to stop because of the awful side effects. My hubby and I got Covid in 2021. I felt like I had the flu. He said he felt like death. He's now on oxygen 24-7 due to Covid damaging his lungs. Praying for all Crohnies.

Since it's an autoimmune disease, it got him his COVID booter sooner than those of us that are just old.
