RESET Maintenance Tank - Plotter Canon IPF-670 and IPF-770

In this video I show you how to reset the Maintenance Tank for the Canon printer model IPF 670/680 and IPF 770/780.
You can not do this if your tank is already full.
Attention: DO NOT REUSE A TANK THAT IS ALREADY FULL, IT MAY LEAK.
Only do this procedure if your tank is going to be full soon and you don't have a new one at hand.

Thank you Joao. The ipf780 enters differently in Service Mode: 1) Turn off the printer power.2) Turn on the power while pressing the [Load] key and [Navigate] key.* Keep pressing the above keys until "Initializing" is displayed.3) "S" appears at the top right of the display. Follow Joao's instructions

love this video are u able to tell me how to reset the SP1 which is the ink tube unit. Id like to get this reset since the tubes are in perfect condition and the printer isnt worth the cost to replace them so id like to just run the printer until an issue happens since i do have a new printer to replace my current printer once there are issues.

Thank you for the video. Can you tell when the tank is actually full after a reset? Does the machine tell you or do you need to inspect? Also, how many times can you reset before it needs to be replaced... or can it be emptied and reused again? Many thanks.

The only way to tell if the maintenance tank is full after this is inspecting it or when you see ink dropping from the printer 😅. I already did it 5 times when it gets to 40% and still have a lot of room left.

Great video, thank you!. It works great. I did reset without removing M-tank. Coud you tell me how can I check if the M-tank is full? If I remove the m-tank before reseting, will I be able to plug in the same m--tank and then, reset it? I am a little bit worried that printer will not allow me to plug the same cartridge. It's fine to do that. I always do.

But there is no need to check the ink level. Even if the monitoring is off the printer still detects a low ink level and warns you to insert a new one.

Eu sempre faço reset na minha quando chega em 40% para não correr o risco de esquecer, já fiz 5 vezes e ainda tem espaço de sobra pra pelo menos mais umas 4 vezes, já tenho a impressora há 4 anos e nunca troquei o cartucho.

1. As I read in your comments this procedure is when you want to empty your tank and of course you don't have a new one. As a new user, the maintenace tank is reusable? Can I empty it and use it again? According to you I can use the same tank forever . Probably this is for one time if you don't have a new tank

Hi, May I know what is the purpose of maintenance tank? why it has to be 100%?

It holds all the ink that is used in the cleaning process and when it is full or 0% you need to change it. But it has no sensor to tell you that it is full, so they program it to say that it is 0% when actually it is not. So we reset it until it is actually full.

@@jpfernandes Hi, I have a problem lately with my printer, when I feed the manual print, it loaded and take times analyzing then becomes idle and slowly push out the paper and cancelled the printing, same thing when I try to print a nozzle check and feed manually but nothing was printed out till the paper slowly load out and cancelled the print job.
