Argh, this song is SO powerful. I went through tough life events, fell into binge eating, was in financial issues, lost my high paying job, was mentally struggling, and had toxic relationships over and over. But after picking myself up, going to therapy, started being mindful with eating and flexible with myself, slowly adapting in this healing process - listening to this song makes me reflect so much on my self-growth and I'm so proud. I'm more grounded, aware, and financially better. The fact that Chicago is also where my first boyfriend who I think was my first love and my most toxic ex who I had an on-and-off relationship for the past 4 years (I ended it 5 months ago) :'))) I'm much better, much happier and life, while do have its struggles - will always get better guys. Listening to this as I feed my one week old son and it has me all up in my feelings. I am a new person now - the version of me before him is gone. Congratulations on your beautiful new son! What a wise way of dealing with all of the changes in your life right now, reminding yourself that your future self would tell you that "you'll be fine". As the mother of now 32 and 29 year olds, I still remember how upside down my life felt when my firstborn came and that I was so afraid of getting something wrong, and yet at the same time there was so much new, deep love there. For what it's worth, your future self is right. In just a very few months, motherhood will feel normal and you will have gained much more confidence. Sending you a big hug and a full night's good sleep (wish I could-- I remember how physically tiring it all was for a while, but that too passes). Take good care.

I have an important story. One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith. So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana". I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly… I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling. He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car. A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.

Around one month ago I was in Chicago - and the US in general - for the first time in my life. Eleven wonderful and beautiful days in which I fell in love not only with the city but also a special person, now girlfriend, I was visiting. My heart indeed stays in that city even with me being all the way back over the great lake in Germany. Then I started to notice this song being played often in the radio and it makes me nostalgic for the best vacation I ever had. I love you, Aer.

This song has soo many feelings in it. Many eras of my life and the good times but I also find this as that comfort and closure song of my sister and her unexpected death in 2022. The line "Just trust me you'll be fine" is her relaying the message through the song and sending positive vibes and hope for the future.

Words can’t explain how much I love this song. I know he went to DePaul in Chicago and that’s where he got his start in theater and acting. This song is basically him saying goodbye to the beginning of his career and moving forward. I blast it every time it plays on Q101. Such a beautiful song with even more touching lyrics.

Everytime I listen to this song, it reminds me of the place that I spent my degree which is so far from home and it took 10 hours to drive there. Whenever I visit that place, it feels so nostalgic that there’s another version of me living there 7 years ago. It’s a place I spent my youth for 5 years.
@Maria-qs2bn8 ай бұрын
This is also what i felt when I listen to the song for the first time, working so hard to earn the degree that we wanted, lots of sacrifices were made, the emotionally instability we had, the anxious that we had, "just trust me, you will be fine" was our mantra during the times we thought we will never it earn. It was nostalgic indeed.
