Great video. You are 100% correct. However they have uplights now where you can hang them from the ceiling or wall with a magnet. I’m still using my Rockville rockwedges i have 24 of them…they’ve been kicked, stepped on etc…and they are still tanks.
@DjTecniq8 сағат бұрын
Tip: you don’t even need a dmx controller or software. Just find a uplight that has a wireless dmx antenna and majority of them will sync with other lights. My Rockville Best Par 60 has the wireless antenna and sync with the rockwedges…control them with remote and done. I use the fade color mode for most gigs have never failed me. ✅

I like to give you feedback... I didn't saw your last few videos, so I don't know since when you have this new video style, but I really like it. I think the difference is "Everybody can sit in a bedroom, because he's not landed outside. But with this style I can see that you talk from the real world (and the related experiences) - and not talking from the bedroom phantasies." I know you are working outside anyways since a long time, but this style really gives you another style with more seriousness. Good change in style! I think you profit from it, if you continue like this. Rock on!

Great video. Full of insightful advise ❤ 2 comments to help the debate: - all uplights are coming from same manufacturers in China. Wherever you buy them it is from the same production benches and same components. Having a local brand (Europe one, US one, etc) putting their logo on it does not make the product better. We are paying +50% of the price to get the brand name on it with the customer service. Those devices are easy to repair so my personnal opinion is you dont need the local brand. Dealing straight with Chinese buyers is fine and affordable which I strongly recommend. - I used to play with the mobile app and it is fine for small shows (not wedding) like bars or private party where we are not pay enough to bring all the light stuffs 😅. It is definitely not a dmx program (i am wolfmix user too) but good enough for color switch, fade, jump, strob and dimmer function

When we have a client who wants a harsh primary color blue, green, purple etc. We work with them to include a complimentary color from their wedding colors, and alternate them to restore the rooms white balance. So maybe blue with yellow, purple and ivory, green and a pastel light green/cream. It makes for much better pictures, and peoples IG posts don't look like a room full of Smurfs (blue) or aliens (green) etc.

For a couple months I have been putting my up lights in and around the venue just like you showed us in this video and everything was going good until about a couple shows ago I've had way too many kids and even adults kicking my lights all over the venue. So I've decided going forward I'm gonna put all my lights on a t bar and have that t bar on a speaker pole up high enough so nobody can kick them around anymore. It's too bad because I've really enjoyed the lights being around the whole venue but I can't trust them not to be kicked around anymore

Good beginner video. Besides just placing them near walls and columns, I always prefer to also place them in the corners since you get to cover 2 walls instead of just 1. Since you DMX them separately, how do you mark them so you know which one is which? How long does it take to reprogram them for each venue, since for this venue you had to create a separate group for the columns?

Rock solid build quality, they service the product. The accessories allow you to clamp them to poles or crossbeams overhead in certain situations. Personally Also doesn’t hurt the service center is 10mins from home. They’ve were worth the investment.
