@@seanporter2697 I think D&J will still have legal ownership of the unpaid goods until paid. I'll bet my house on no one would be charged with criminal damage for removing items that legally belong to them.

@@craig0101 unfortunately people in a self employed/small business don’t have much choice in the matter once a customer doesn’t pay except court and lawyers handling it. If you use google and check the law you will see that if I built you a patio and maybe a driveway then you didn’t pay and I show up and just start smashing the place to bits and removing materials etc then I would find myself in hit bother with the authorities

@@seanporter2697 I've googled 2 stories of builder's smashing up work and the police quoted- "The disagreement is a civil matter, however officers attended due to reports of an altercation. No arrests have been made and there have been no reports of any injuries." Google builder tears down porch and so far I cannot find any criminal charges brought against him for 7k of work ? I'm no legal expert and Scottish so don't know the laws of England either. The client needs a kick in the baws and his fence tore down but yes that's not good for any small business. More expensive to retrieve monies owed is wrong but if that's the law in England I stand corrected mate.

Once materials are affixed to the land, title passes from the contractor to the employer even when the materials have not been paid for. If however the employer has paid for the materials and they are not attached to the land, the employer will only own the materials if the contractor to whom he made payment had title.

Stevie, you need to fit a timed solenoid drain onto the bottom of your air receiver on the compressor, close off the outlet of the tank in the evenings, and have the timed solenoid switched off also at night. This will stop you wasting electric on having to fill the receiver and the pipework up every morning. The timed solenoid will drain out condensate from the receiver throughout the day, thus there will be no need to empty the receiver every night.

8:32, I was the rear yard manager of Haldane Fisher in northern ireland, I was placed into the role to sort out the rear yard and get the most from the space, I was over all Acheson & Glover paving products, all concrete products, Tyrone brick, and more products than you could point a stick at, after 2 weeks 2 directors from Acheson & Glover drove 140 mile round trip to come and personally thank me for the work I had done with reorganising the yard.., getting to my point if you get a display for the yard that will have a sample of each stone product you stock, customers can see what they want and you can monopolise space by stacking the bagged product?

Spray guns, Top Tip 8):- If your new gun doesnt work out, buy some cheapy gravity fed guns, with a big a fluid nozzle as you can get (2mm ish will get anything out pretty much). Lot less bother in use than the syphon fed ones in your bin. Ive 15 years painting cars, your advice helped me get my fence up nice and clean. Cheers fellas

Usually you can tell when a customer has the money to pay for a job - my boss never accepts work from anyone who appears they can not afford the job. Maybe unfair but he has never had a customer not pay using this method 😂
