He’s absolutely right... I had a public defender and he was from Europe somewhat timid. But because they tried to give me 5-10 for me defending my daughter against a man. I fought for 8 months strong I never went to jail( prison). But the District Attorney was a very spiteful woman. But regardless she was no match for God and I wasn’t taking none of her bs. I walked away from that situation with my head up my dignity & my freedom.

@evanpimental

I did 27 months in USP Beaumont. That's a maximum security federal penitentiary in Beaumont, Texas. I got locked up for possession of an unregistered machine gun. Basically I had a fully automatic AK-47 and someone who I thought was a friend of mine told the cops about it to get out of a simple "possession of a controlled substance" charge. I had done county jail time here and there, but it was my first (and only) time going to the penitentiary. They call Beaumont "Bloody Beaumont" because of all of the violence. There was rarely a day where I could make it to the chow hall for breakfast, lunch or dinner without at some point the alarm would go off signaling that someone was getting either jumped or stabbed. Being that I was new to the prison I had to go on a "mission" by "putting in work" by jumping a child molester as soon as I got there to earn my stripes. I don't have any sympathy for child molester, but spending a months in solitary confinement was not very fun... That's just a small part of my story, it was crazy.

SaK Religous yeah I wasn't in a gang but ran in the Cali car. So once you hit a new yard they call it being on deck. The first time a snitch or a child molester hits the yard if you're on deck it's your turn to go. But it doesn't take much convincing for me to jump on someone who rapes kids. So I'd have done it anyway, but had I refused, I'd be getting fucked up too for that.

I can't believe this brother is not in corporate America. Listening to him talk is putting me to tears. Unbelievable. if our brother,s can skip jail and get down legally in this capitalistic America? Polluting your own community with dope and negative thinking, it's a cycle. Get a few Shackles, open a small store, give the kids a job. Check any third world country, we ain't doing bad compared, and we shouldn't with these tax dollars being paid. Had to let him know cause he was use to things being in order: Also he trust me that much off the love he told me to let him know when he in the wrong that’s how humble and careful he was. It changes you man he was constantly reminding me of this so I don’t get myself in drama.

5:46 He's right, about the 87.5% (rather than 85%), because they credit your good time AFTER every year you do. That's on a 10 year sentence. With each decade, because of the compounded interest, you do an extra 1%; that is why he said "at least 87.5%," and not because you can lose good time for fighting, contraband, etc. Convicts, when signing their please, understandably believe they're going to do 8.5 years out of 10, for example. In reality. As this guy mentions, you do 87.5% because you'll gain 53 (I think) days of "gained good time" after each year you do, not as the year goes by. Thus, 87.5% on a decade and about 1% more for each decade after (someone with a 360-month sentence will do 89.5%, at least, of he doesn't lose any good time). On top of that, most federal inmates have a 3- or 5-year term of supervised release, aka probation.

Prison can either Break you or Make you 10,Times stronger then you ever thought you where .. You learn how to be.very appreciative of everything in life and become very respectful all the time and meet your real friends in there .. And Build a Bond with them that is unbreakable and one of the worse parts about it . is when it’s your time to go home and all your friends walk you to the door and you see the look in there face Hiw lost they are gonna be that ur going home!! There are so many really good men who are doing 20 ,30 years ,, life and they are happy that I was going home but I felt horrible leaving them there .. A lot of people don’t realize is when u do 5 or 10 years with the same guys .. You build a Brotherhood with them. Reason being is you are with eachother non stop and when one of us had a family problem at home you feel it also ..My Friends I got close with when I was away I would do anything for them in a Split Second.. A lot of guys come home from prison and forget about there friends in there .. And that is wrong !!! When I came home I was lost for a while .. I lost my Mom my best friend my god mother and never got to say good bye to any of them .. But it made me stronger and I Thank God I had some good friends to help me get through it.. I don’t know how to leave my friends behind . So all the fellows that just came home once in a while send the fellows a letter or card send them a few dollars just to let them know you are still thinking about them and that you truly appreciated them for always having your back
